The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I agree it will be close. I wonder if they will even get permission to run them on their track and get comparable times. I really wish they would get permission to do a ultimate supercar challenge of some kind, but that would never get by the insurance company or the manufacturers.

While I loved the McLaren, the exhaust on the Posrche is just stunning... I believe the Porsche will be slightly faster, but I'll still take the P1

Been quite quiet around here lately. It's weird.

It's been really quiet in my row here at work. All of the noise makers are gone. I'm starting to go batty from lack of distractions.

My office is deathly quiet all the time. If I didn't listen to music on headphones I would go insane.

You can ask Jess... there are some jokesters in this group... especially in my row. To the immediate right of me is Joe, who likes to talk all the time, as well as the king of launching rubberbands. On the left is Dan... a very loud, rude, obnoxious dick. I'm shocked HR hasn't had to make an emergency visit and intervention based on things said around here.

We used to have Nerf gun fights here at work, that has gone away due to some people leaving. We joke around a lot though.

audits here so everyone is extra busy. We usually have some good laughs when things are slower.

Finished all of my work, already....let's see what the afternoon offers, if anything!

yeah, I'm surprised HR hasn't been involved in all the crap we say... I have a marshmallow bow at my desk, I use it every now and then (if I don't eat the ammo). We are to move to a new section soon, some of us have agreed to buy NERF guns to protect our new territory...

oh, and if you leave you desk and your computer is not locked, you will soon learn to do so the next time... lets just say there are a few bronies in the office... lol

We send emails, instant messages and change desktops backgrounds when anyone leaves their computer unlocked.

That wouldn't work here, as we all know each other's passwords. We have been known to add tape over the IR sensor in someones mouse and wait till they get pissed off.

yeah, I ended up with a Hello Kitty background once... I'm kinda surprised I didn't get in trouble for changing a guys out of office message in Outlook, can't remember exactly what I wrote but it was to the effect of

"... thank you for your email, I will be out of the office all week due to personal reasons and will get back to you ASAP...

P.S.: When I come back to the office, you may stop referring to me as Steve and call me Jennifer.

Thank you, have a nice day."

My regional trainer is riding along with me this week during my visits. Its hilarious the reaction when im on an on-ramp merging on the highway

That's funny and wrong at the same time.

lulz... I do that kind of stuff with my friends, newbies get the wallpaper treatment and the avatar as well if I have enough time.

The downside of working for a major corporation. Aside from simple joking around none of that stuff would go down well where I work. Most of the guys here are level headed but it only takes one to set the HR dogs on you. Due to all the IP and "need-to-know" stuff going on messing with a coworkers computer, even in fun, is a pretty serious offense. It also doesn't help having a cube right outside the office of one of the VP's...

My company finally implemented a new CRM last night and now I'm trying to learn it today. I'm basically going from having to hunt for information to getting everything all on one page. Trying to figure out a way to get somewhere in the middle of both. (lol2)
