The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

For $25k or less, what is a unique weekend cars & coffee/cruiser type car you would like to have in your fictitious 6 car garage?

I know "new" from the "dealer" they are more than 25k, but I have heard you can build one for between 20 and 25 depending on your power plant.

Chippy, there are some quality new folks since you took your hiatus. Sho, Jake, the Pittsburgh guys. There are the bad apples, but you'll have those anywhere. And they've been around here too... Just not as prevalent. The real problem is that everyone seems to have some reason to have to prove themselves. They can't admit they don't know everything, or that someone is better than them. They have to instantly shoot down ideas and comments that don't fit their already predetermined mindset. In come the trolls... Who also feel they need to prove something. Perpetual cluster ****. I'm not thrilled to be associated with the new generation of Miata owners, but I've found it easier to latch on to quality people and ignore all else. I'm happier that way

I thought there always was a couple cliques of Miata owners, just not as prevalent around here. ClubRoadster.net versus Miata.net is a perfect example of the different groups.

Holy s***, 8k for that Zagato? Wow, when did the values of those go up so high? My dad had one for a number of years. Really fun car. Had about 120 hp out of the 2L. Super short ratio gear box. Thing was a blast to toss around the twisties. I've never seen one with the cloth interior, only the leather. I think dad sold his for around $2500 or so. A bit cleaner than that one.

Progress!

Actually got it into the garage on Saturday. Funny wife quote - I had just brought the silver car home and the first thing she said when she saw it outside was, "it's even uglier than the other one!" Great timing though. Just in time to move my wife's car into the driveway before we got ~1/4" of ice and ~4" of snow. Yeah, she was really happy this morning...

got my post dated check, I have my eyes on a couple cars. Just have to wait and see what's left when it clears next week.

Just for you Evan #1, I am dropping off the RPF-1's tomorrow and they are going to be painted Fuschia Pearl and Lauri will be mounting them on the MS3........

I had to google fuschia, lulz. White goes with everything though so that will look faaaaabulous!

I'll spark a debate because I am unable to decide myself. Those watching TopGear know of the fight between Clarkson and Hammond over the P1 vs 918.

Which do you think is faster? Which do you think is the "better" car and why. Which one is more impressive due to the technology involved?

I think the Porsche is going to be faster, despite the increased weight and less overall HP.

Technologically, they are both tremendously impressive. With each car getting the benefit of hybrid advancements from the company's racing programs it would be tough to choose between them.

Clarkson will always pick the non-Porsche. I'm sure each has its strengths over the other. My guess is that it would be really close.
