My dad went to school for CNC Machinist when the steel mill shut its doors last year. A few jobs he applied and interviewed for was only offering between 10 and 12 an hour. He got hired in a Swagelok, and while the salary isn't what he had, everything else about the company more than makes up for it and he's loving it.
 
It's just basically a tune from what i can gather. The turbo is already really close to it's max. It also drops power significantly at 4500.

what happened to relatively flat torque curves?

There are plenty of speeds that are just fine. Hell #1 had 150k on his original motor with mods and it was just fine. Mine has 96k and it is just fine. Idk what these guys are doing to these cars but they are dropping like flies. Hard to find a clean gen1 anymore

Also calling out my toledo guys. Anyone coming this way any time soon? If this guys accepts my offer I am buying a set of fd wheels near toledo and wondering if someone could grab them.
 
And that's why I always allow my oil and coolant temps to get over 175 before getting into boost, never go wot in 6th (unless you're going fast enough) etc.

I've seen him posting about spinning his tires in 6th a few times.
 
Either has bald tires in the rain or did some power upgrades that I have never heard of. That is almost impossible but he was saying how he drives the s*** out of it on a Hypertech ots tune at Mid Ohio

Exactly :) Shoot there's probably teachers that would quit to go flip burgers if this goes through. I'm actually continuing my education to get more pay. Not going on a pointless strike saying what I do deserves more.
 
lol..... spinning tires in 6th... my Mustang would only spin up to about 110mph in 4th.... kid is full of s***. My MS3 will only spin at 80+mph if I get aggressive in the rain and you guys know fairly well where I'm at power wise.

you would still have to dog it to get it to spin with rain. There was a lot of stress put on that car obviously and it was just a matter of time with the amount of miles he bought it with
