Tessa and I were at a gas station near her house discussing our Redbox options sitting in my car and this dude comes walking right up to my drivers side door and opens it. I was stunned. Then he said "Oh s***! Wrong car!". We all had a good laugh. His white four door Camry with tinted windows was parked right next to me.

I have another home improvement question. Has anyone here used the slow rising spray foam to fill their exterior walls solid with insulation? I'm wondering how hard/expensive it is.

the 6 is parked & the winter mobile ('01 Corolla) is out. I miss my old work truck (08 E-150) because i could make the tail slide around on days like this. The newer truck (E-350 with boom) i can, but i definitely gets weird looks when i break it loose. Which i will do every so often, but that's a lot of wear on the drive shaft.

I've watched it done once, it didn't seem too hard but the guy was a professional. He measured where the studs were, put a hole in the dry wall near the top and put his hose in and filled it up.

+1 I could have had myself a 8-10 pointer last week coming into my neighborhood. A little more speed and no regard for vehicle/personal safety and we'd have a new wall ornament.

what bracing? GT Spec, Corksport ect? all the chassis bracing is nice and looks pretty but IMO isnt really necessary for a street car. the ONE piece of chassis bracing i can reccomend is what i have. an OEM mid brace from a speed 3 (solid unit vs 2 bars from the mz3) If you are looking to improve handing and stiffen up the car, look at coils/shocks, struts, springs combos before dumping money into the chassis bracing on the market. since you already have an rsb.

I had pretty much the whole GTSpec setup on the protege. Plus front and rear strut tower bars. I'm debating on springs. Can't quite decide which springs to get.

you can do whatevever you want, as it is your money. I am just saying with the 3 platform, the tower bars arent needed as there isnt much flex from the start and bars are pretty much just engine bay candy. if you want the GT Spec setup, by all means go for it, but ive been in cars with and without all of it and i had a hard time pinpointing the benefits. then you factor in given how bloody expensive they all are, and its even harder to justify all of them. the only one i can say is a nice upgrade is the mid chassis brace.

i just bought an oem speed3 one from a guy that upgraded, stiffer than stock by a long shot and only dropped about 40 bucks total on it lol
keep an eye out for local ms3 guys that may be upgrading and wanting to dump their OEM brace

I would think the springs/shocks would be a better investment than chassis braces.
