The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Yes that's very true and expected. Particularly when most of the extra cost is going to be incurred on the DP side of the fence. It's necessary also, they can't have 200 cars on track at once anyways.

It was the front, the rear is fine so far.

Called Mazda USA & Mazda Extended Protection Plan & they both said i 'should' be covered. They obviously need the dealer to properly diagnose the issue to be sure. The front diff should be under the power train warranty of the certified used protection & if it's not, it should be covered under the MEPP. I guess Thursday, I'll find out

anybody know if all mazda 3 frt strut braces are compatible? I see 04-13 on some and then 10-12 on others.

front strut braces (atleast on gen wons and and gen pus) isnt needed. strut towers are so close to the firewall there isnt much flex

im honestly kinda MEH with this one... would be fun as hell to be the driver, but not as entertaining as previous ones for me

...... That's interesting. Last I heard they had some brand new designs for some of the aero on those cars that they were excited about.

Gymkhana 6 was ok.... It's pretty amazing how fast he can transition that car, especially 180* in limited space!

Yeah, but IMSA is doing a lot other than aero to get these cars competitive with P2 cars that it's probably driving the budget into the sky. DP's are so much slower than P2's, it's going to be interesting to see what happens.

Give you an idea how much slower, LeMans GT cars will beat the DP's on most tracks.

Apparently Mr. Block has set the bar too high for himself! Best Gymkhana yet? No. Good video? Hell yes!

I personally don't get the point of having both P2 & DP cars on the same track. I think this merger is going to be pretty rough for a while as far as cars/classes are concerned.

You think the underbody braces are a better idea?

what bracing? GT Spec, Corksport ect? all the chassis bracing is nice and looks pretty but IMO isnt really necessary for a street car. the ONE piece of chassis bracing i can reccomend is what i have. an OEM mid brace from a speed 3 (solid unit vs 2 bars from the mz3) If you are looking to improve handing and stiffen up the car, look at coils/shocks, struts, springs combos before dumping money into the chassis bracing on the market. since you already have an rsb.
