The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

My left eye still itches after the contacts and makeup from saturday... good party though. Too bad it rained, we put up Christine on the projector and had the sound running though my truck

Tessa and I have been wanting to go to an American style buffet for a while now so we roped Dave and his wife into going with us last night to Golden Corral. Best mistake I made in a looooong time. I got so stuffed and fat I almost threw up. But it was so worth it. And the people watching was extraordinary.

You would throw up if you saw the kitchen of the Golden Corrals. Just sayin'.

made a trip down to Bellbrook on Saturday. Decided to take 42 to avoid all the construction on 71/670/70. Talk about a huge mistake. if it wasn't for the farmers with 50+ vehicles piled up behind them, then it was the slow drivers. Made it to 42/70 & decided to just take the highway. MUCH NICER. Then we decided to hit up Rax on the way home. Rax was a restaurant in Oberlin that unexpectedly closed a few years ago. It's like an Arby's, but way better. It was in Bellefontaine Ohio, which is right off rt 68. Then after we ate there, came up with the fun task of getting home. There was no direct route to get home, so it was all back country roads (67, 4, and some random other roads). There was towns i've never heard of before, which i guess is normal when you go off the beaten path. 4 and a 1/2ish hours of driving and we made it home (usually a 3 and 1/2 hour drive).

Talk about Farm Country. Thousand & Thousand acres of farms. I'd hate to be driving on the road in snowy weather! The drifts gotta be HUGE!

I had a long weekend. My wife's grandfather passed away last Monday so we had the funeral Friday and I got to play the stable one all day. Saturday was better. Was busy at work thankfully and then we had dinner with her parents, then watched OSU slaughter Penn State (sorry Levi). Sunday was church and errands. Finally got to sit in my man cave and do nothing and have no one around for a few hours too. I was over any social interaction by then.

There's a Rax on 23 south of Columbus near Chillocothe, that was the only one I knew of left.

Fine I texted this to you just a little motivation to get moving ;)

LOL! I picked up the powder coating kit from Jess last night. (THANKS JESS!!)

Now I just need to build my new oven, invest in a new compressor and a blasting cabinet. Once thats done I'll pick up a tubing bender and probably a new welder. Hopefully I'll have some prototypes in cars by summer and production versions by next fall/winter after they've been extensively tested.

Right now getting the powder coating business going is my primary concern. Once thats all straightened out I can start to focus on making parts.

For sure Marc and I have s*** waiting ti get done. He has wheels and I have valve cover, intake manifold, and timing cover

yeah that's one of the nicer ones i've been in. The one in Oberlin was HUGE. Had a big salad bar, sun room, and quick refill counter. I really miss having a Rax close by.
