Fiji, did you buy it or just tormenting us with pics? I stopped at the local Mazda dealer tonight to see the new 3's and found one hatch outside the showroom and three sedans fresh off the truck in the parking lot. Thanks to the rain, not one salesperson came out to greet me during the 20 minutes I walked around them, guess they didn't want to melt. I'll have to go back on a nice day so I can sit inside one and get a first hand look/feel of the cockpit.

No teasing. I bought it today. Drove to Akron this morning to trade for it.

it's still half mazda, so we can still be friends. that is a sharp looking car. if the 3's have a "happy face" grille, that has an "angry" grille

I love how a lot of argument against that car is that "It doesn't have a real LSD. GARBAGE!" Coming from hardparkers...

Multimatic raced one last year in a few races, and seemed fast until they wrecked it. Sharp cars. Which option package?

I can't remember, but did you ever take the engine apart to see what else broke? shouldn't be too expensive to replace it. Hell, I have half the parts you'd need.

I went cheap and got the ST1 package. Didn't want to pay for the Recaros since my fat butt doesn't fit in them very well. The stock seats are better than the 3 seats though with more side bolstering so I'm happy. And I probably won't ever push the car hard enough to notice the whole LSD/E-diff.

Congrats, Nick! Is that an ST? I'm not too hip to the new cars. I really like the way the new Fukuseseses look though. There is always at least one ST at every auto-x, they are sharp.

Yes it is. I tried a regular Focus and while a really good car, it felt slow compared to the Mazda and I wanted more power when I started looking.

My brother loves his 2014 focus. Its just as quick as his Vue was, and he loves the almost 40mpg (with manual transmission) he is getting. ST was out of his price range.
