The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Oh... yeah, definitely not an engine to do that with. They do (by design) use oil, but not a super noticable amount if you go by the "suggested" oil change intervals. I think I used 1 qt every 5k in it's prime. Now... like a quart every 1000 miles or so, but such is the case with an engine with a lot of miles that has had a hard life.

My mom is the only person I know that has ever said "I want a Minivan" I think everyone else just gets sucked into them for one reason or another.

I don't really notice the oil consumption on mine, but I don't measure it after oil changes unless the only empty containers are the bottles I just poured.

Does a mazda 5 count?? Because I really want one. I've been saying I want a minivan, but it's probably because it would make babysitting easier...

I don't count the 5 as a mini van, it's more crossover to me, esp since it's on the 3's chassis

I wanted a 5 badly for carrying all my bass gear (an acoustic upright bass is freaking huge) but they were out of my price range so I got the P5. When I was shopping I wanted something juuuust big enough to fit my upright in and still be a cool car and I told myself I wasn't going to mod it. I still told myself I wouldn't mod the P5 when I bought it. But I ordered a short shifter and knob the day after I bought it. Then it was all downhill from there. lulz.

Your kidding right? We would keep the 3, and trade the chick magnet (Grand Caravan). We are over the whole mini-van thing. In fact we didn't really want to get it in the first place, but we needed it at the time.

AH...forgot about the van.

I want a mini-van!! A lot of people we know who've had SUV's/kids have made the switch for more room, MPG's, and ease of kid loading. Matter of fact, a Trailblazer buddy of mine with 2 toddlers was telling me how these things aren't the most kid-friendly haulers, and he's regretting his purchase. I was like..."well..................s***", because that's why we got it. lol

Plus, there are some really nice Vans out there now. The new odyssey's are awesome!

Lol, now it's en route to becoming a semi-dedicated track car, after two motor swaps, total suspension overhaul, etc. There's not much left stock. It's starting to happen with my truck, too, even though I told myself I was going to keep it stock, too. I did leave the Miata stock, if you don't count taking out the console and radio for a while. I think the key with that one was I bought it with the intention of modding it. These things seem to work the opposite way, oddly enough.

I wish I could dedicate the MSP just for track, but she is still my daily driver. I might get a set of stickies this year and change classes for s**** and giggles :) Especially since they might be changing the whole format and car list for ST classes. STX is now more of a cluster f#$%. It use to be forced induction up to 2.0L, but it might be changed for include some 2.3 and 2.5 models. Might just have to get into SMF or something else along thoughs lines.

It would be nice to see your name below my on the wins and point spread :) Would be fun to compare a slightly modified MSP to a modified SC'ed ES.

I bet my 120 hp beats the lot of ya!
