The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

So my modding has been put to the wayside. Me and the misses are buying a house. We put in an offer last night and the owner accepted.

So now it's time to (hide)

Hawthorne Heights, Nickleback, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Skillet, Good Charlotte, AFI, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Story of the Year, Lostprophets...

^ thats cool, nice little playlist you got but after seeing your mad at the world music, i feel my mad at the world music is really really angry music LOL

agreed. and i'm not even a huge metal head...my mad at the world playlist contains slipknot, fear factory, deftones, apartment 26, rammstein, atari teenage riot, and a little hevein

and to answer about the Ramones, I like old school punk, but not neccessarily the ramones. a little to kitchey(sp) for me.

Morning Ohio. How many of you crazy bastards were told "use your best judgement about coming into work" and came anyway?

HA!!! Best judgement, try be here no matter what.

Yeah, that was my old job. I guess I got used to that mindset. Hell, I worked my Friday off last week, so in my mind, they owe me a Friday off anyway. I could have taken that, or said that it was just too bad to come in, but nope. Here I sit.

Snow day, baby! I am not allowed to go in... It is the best text you can get at 5:00 in the morning

yeah... you've kinda got it made there. Tho I do love the game "Oh, let's see how long the BMW will stay sideways after I turn left on to this street..." Answer is, when turning left on to 59 from 91 north, you can stay sideways past both banks and almost to the plaza.

they didn't tell me s***, i saw an email from the boss saying he'd stay in due to the weather, brave are thee who venture into this weather

Awesome...I haven't ever really tested out the FWD ability of my car besides plowing through drifts and eating snow. I would like to learn my handling capabilities in adverse weather.

Speaking of handling capabilities, check out this nifty little spreadsheet I made up, detailing everything I know about coilovers and suspension bits that are available for the MS3. I think I will post these documents around and see if other MS3 owners have personal experience/can add to the data by filling in the blanks I couldn't find info for. My suspension knowledge is little to none!

you will do fairly well as long as you use a light foot and turn the TC off, it wouldn't let me go anywhere if it was "bad". When I went out this morning I saw a 4x4 pickup stuck in the parking lot after backing out 5 feet, i saw him struggling for 5 minutes. I drove out like usual.... LOL

Yeah, so far on the road the MS3 is a tank. But I need to hit up an empty parking lot and practice car control if I do ever lose control. I have only done that in AWD and RWD, so now that I have FWD it may be a little different--although of course the same principles.

i know with a set of snow tires Whitney is a friggin tank in the snow

as far as the coils v springs/struts just depends what your looking to do...

since it is your DD id probably go Koni yellows/Road Magnet springs combo as you will still have the comfort for DD'ing the car, the springs/koni combo is still stiff enough to perform very nicely when you want to beat on her thru some twisties (RM's are to be some of the stiffest non coilover springs you can get for our cars)

as far as struts i would stay away from the FSD's as alot of ms3 guys seem to hate them and sell them after only a couple months of use

if you decide coilovers are what you need, the Suspension Technique coils are damn near the exact same thing as the KW v1's only difference is a slightly different material that is "rust resistant" but not "rust proof" like the KW's, and the ST coils are only a 5 year warranty as opposed to the KW V1 lifetime warranty
but they are both made in the same factory and KW owns ST so thats essentially just a slightly cheaper KW v1

then there is always the cheapest route and thats just to replace the stock stuff with used stock parts from the forum...

I like Levi's post.

Plenty of options out there that most people just don't consider because they just don't know.
