Hahaha! Man, you guys are cracking me up today.
Hey SubSpeed, did I "meet" you at MidOhio this past summer? I never introduced myself but you had the red MSM right? Chris was it?
yeah, that's Chris.
I feel the same goes for the wedding. I don't think my fiance and I need to have a huge, expensive, elaborate wedding to prove to our friends and family how much we love eachother. They should see that on a daily basis.
My friends had such a small, casual wedding they didn't even have a wedding cake. They had a bunch of wedding cupcakes. That is brilliant!
Not trying to sound like a prick or anything, Nate. Please don't take offense. It's great you're getting married and I'm sure this is all very exciting, brotha.![]()
the honeymoon however...that's where I want the money to be spent.
Not taking any offense at all and I'm very happy with the choice I made because she's happy. I'm hoping for a small inespensive wedding (she kinda has a big family so we'll see), the honeymoon however...that's where I want the money to be spent.
Exactly! My mom has said that a hundred times, have a simple wedding with a few friends and family and spend the rest of it on the honeymoon. She's a travel agent and might be biased, but it makes sense to me! I'd think the wedding day is stressful enough, I wouldn't want to have the thoughts of "eugh, this cost 20k$ on top of it being stressful.." in the back of my head, haha!
We had a simple wedding and I let Lauri choose her own ring. She was practical and choose a band with diamonds and sapphires(my birthstone). We got married in Vegas, where we had friends and family show up and had our dinner at a great Japanese Steakhouse, where my brothers ended up paying for. Simple, in expensive and a lot of fun. I have had friends who spent 10's of thousands of dollars and ended up divorced less than a year later, money could have wnt to better use, IMHO.!
You mean we've could've had a hook-up on traveling this whole time?
