I think my motor is finally "done". New head gaskets, new timing belt, new accesory belts, new spark plugs, new IM and TB thermal spacers, paint and cleaning.
I've got most of the major parts already, just need to get a new clutch/lightweight flywheel, headers and a few other odds&ends. But everything should be in the garage by late January. Then I just have to try to be patient and wait for warmer weather for the swap.
Thanks to Pablo for helping me in the cold garage on his days off and Wes for a lot of info.

so here's an update, when i paid my deductible they gave me a discount for the wheel that was supposed to be replaced since they couldn't find one. now the insurance is telling me they're replacing the whole set since my wheel/size is discontinued and can't be found. so they're buying 3 wheels and i'll get the 4th with the discount from my deductible. this is what i'm getting once they issue me the check, not the lightest one but i think it looks good and a good price. 17x7.5 which will fit the contis better than 17x7

yeah, it took them a few days to decide but I'm glad they didn't go for stockers

they let me pick considering the price of the ones that broke, but had to decide soon. did a little research and didn't want to spend more out of my money so i chose these.
no lighting effect, it's black inside. "Flat Black Machined Face"

They definitely look nice. I think it's going to look awesome on the car. The stockers are ridic expensive, I remember one of the tech's telling me I got a smokin deal on my 6 wheels because he said they're like 800$ each list price..
Those rims are nice and definitely cheaper than stock rims. I'm glad your insurance company realized it and you got a nice set of rims out of the deal.
However, those rims are heavy. I just happened to look at those exact same ones today and noticed even the smaller ones are kinda heavy.

Thanks, yeah they're 20lbs a piece but i can't be very picky now. Maybe i'll get really light ones later, these will do for now, especially since i'll only use them a few times a year

those have the summer tires on, the speed 6 wheels have the new winter tires, the drags will have the slicks
