The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Progressive & Geico are supposed to be 2 of the highest rates for car insurance. Typically, if the company insures higher risk drivers, it will generally have higher overall rates across the board. It's necessary to maintain a similar level of profitability as an insurance company who doesn't take on as much risk...

So you're saying my rates are going up in 6 months?? (lol2)

Damn you, Nick. I've been insurance shopping all night now. I hate these online quotes... I've had State Farm for the last 6 years and pay $103 a month for full coverage. I just wish it would go down. I'm tempted to just get liability for my ancient, rusted Protege. I've only needed to file a claim once because someone backed into me in the middle of the road. It's all my bloody speeding tickets that I'm paying for.

<3 BFF!

Don't ever do that. Keep full coverage. I did that on my Pontiac when it was totaled and had to take the other lady and her insurance to small claims court. What a pain in the ass. Pay the extra so just in case, you're covered and can get some money out of your car.

And I've been meaning to change my insurance for two months, but since Nationwide expires tomorrow, I had to rush. :)

I still have full coverage on the Civic. It's helped a few times now.

Yeah, but if you total the car, you don't get to keep it, do you?

Unless the car is worth sub $2k, I would get full coverage. You can always lower deductibles if need be. My .02

alright, i just came from the dealer and it seems that the woman at the front desk is the one who is retarded. I talked to the mechanic working on Mikaela and he showed me what he found, said he told them to order a lower control arm so they can replace it, the alignment is fine except for the caster on that wheel. Off course they haven't tried to fix the alignment until they replace the control arm, and for some reason this woman told me it was only an alignment issue. I feel a little better, but the part won't be here till monday.

Pablo at least you know that they actually found the problem and are going to repair it properly. Most times the people at the front desk are clueless as to what goes on in the shop.

Yeah, hopefully that's all it is. She might be ready monday afternoon but won't have her back till tuesday or wednesday. After that i'll have to deal with a coilover issue. I think I found the solution but I'm having someone talk to BC North America for me and make sure before I but anything.

Sorry bud, I had no idea I was gonna strike a nerve. lol

if anything, it's probably helping him vent a little.

that's good news Pablo, in that fact that it's getting fixed properly, not that it happened.

Chances are that the lower arm took the brunt of the impact, and got bent and that is exactly what should happen. The possible bent coilover is a total different deal, perhaps you can send it in to be checked.
