Worked through some financial stuff and decided that I will be purchasing a 2009 Speed3 around march of next year. Looking to go with a CWP. Plans are hypertech and an intake. Rear mount inserts (if they have them) and leaving it alone as far as major mods go. Time to have a reliable, fast car.

reliable means NO MAJOR MODDING. seriously. also, that means stay out of boost in low RPMS. thats where most of the BOOMs happen.

^depends what your modding. I tend to stay away from the engine modding because the car just isn't made for that, but suspensionis game on.

I'll be upgrading the engine components but not touching the boost. Exhaust mani, down pipe, fmic, things like that. atleast see how that feels before i do anything else

China's still treating me well. It's effing cold tho. It's Ohio weather, but the wind is much worse. They don't turn the heat on until it gets closer to 5C. The office is freezing. I bundle up in layers. But in the long run, it's all good. I'm having fun.

heres the test fit crappy cell pic, started raining last night so i couldnt get to do a quick shoot, still needs some tweaking before im pleased with the fitment but overall its pretty good right now

I would be in for an Ohio group trip to do the tail of the dragon. I also vote for mid to late week and rent a cabin or two and drive down and staythe night then make it a full day on the dragon stay again and drive home in the morning.

that would be good...like we all try and go down on a wednesday, do the dragon on a thursday and come back on a friday....that way we miss a lot of the traffic

Exactly my thought (about the dragon)! Yes I have to agree I kinda like the monkey ass lip.

Ah yes, the I have one of those in 2 pieces in my garage. I gave up on the project, lol. Found a beat up 03.5 lip that I'm gonna pick up. $105 shipped. holla at ya bwalla lol
