It is functional and it is extremely fast. A friend of mine Billy Johnson drove it and set a few track records in this car.
 
Ok, that's what I figured, that someone wouldn't go to such extremes just for a joke. It seemed to look the part as a full-on race car. Seems like you know everyone, Marlon!
 
Yeah, that cat Christian Rado has been racing for yeeeeaaars. I'm pretty sure he was first a drag racer but now he's doing time attacks with that Scion and doing pretty well at it. There was an article about him and that crazy wing in Modified Mag a few months back.

Marlon does know everyone. Big pimpin.

They're more aggressive, but if you're going to put any kind of real money/effort into an NA build, I'd go with something higher comp than just the fsze pistons. They're 'only' like 10.4:1 I believe. That's stock for a lot of Hondas...

Still, it's not going to net you much power. Even with the fsze pistons and cams, the gains are minimal over the regular a-spec de. The majority of the gains were from the ecu, but almost everyone that tried it (ze ecu) ran into problems. One guy had a pretty decent NA build, but he did it for a college project and ended up even making some of his own parts and didn't crack 200whp as far as I know. And I'm pretty sure it was a lot of money and effort to get as far as he did.

Blown turbo. Trying to figure out all my options right now. Going back to NA is a possibility at this point. ****.

Damn Ivan...that sux. Don't go back to NA...go bigger turbo. lol Seriously though good luck in getting it sorted out.

I got an exhaust mani, but no downpipe.. I dunno if that'll help you out. Sorry man, that sucks. I'd say go bigger turbo, too, but I think that'll just speed up the zoom zoom boom. :(

Decision is made. I have to make the sensible and responsible decision and go back to NA. I have my stock exhaust mani so I'll be taking that over to the mechanic tomorrow and get it back to NA. All the turbo stuff and associated parts will be parted out. I think I'm gonna start tweaking the suspension more now. The re-turboing will happen in the future with a built block and everything. A possible KL forged, turboed monster might be possible too.

The only regret I have right now is that it will be so SLOW now. Otherwise, it's all good. Thanks for all your help and support again guys.

Sorry to hear that, Ivan. But, I think it is kind of cool that now you get to go a different route. I mean, the Protege wasn't ever going to be a monster power maker, but it looks amazing and with a good suspension will handle/look even better! I am getting into these KL swaps, I think they are neat. I also would like to see a full autoX or track P5...depending on if you want to venture into racing. Make your own cage and s***. I dunno. Just throwing ideas out there...
 
If you mean if I'm selling the IC pipes, yes. Manifold, s-pipe, IC setup, HKS BOV, begi FPR, Flyin Miata o2 voltage clamp, AEM wideband, forcefed radio surround dual pod, tapped oil pan, corksport radiator, spal slimline fan, frozenboost slim fan.
 
gonna look at a set of wheels tomorrow....the price is right, hopefully the wheels are in good shape in person. Gonna need to roll my fenders if this works out.
 
Ivan, are you sure you want to part out? Why not just buy another turbo? And I'll always help in the garage. Between you and I and Phen just a gChat message away we can solve just about anything on an FS-DE. However, if you do decide to part out, dibs on your radiator! (sorry, I'm a dick like that. Haha)
