The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

You guys ever come upon some pics on FB or whatever of that girl from HS that you used to have a huge crush on/talk to/have a decent shot with? But now she has a family with some guy that she's meet since you used to talk to her, and you're like "dang it, that could be me!" and you wish you had been like "man, f college, I'm doin my own thing," and just run off with her?

I hope I'm not alone here, but damn, that's me right now...

You know what's worse than that? Running into girls from school that were once not attractive, but now they are super attractive. I'll give you two examples.

Two years ago while in Pittsburgh, I ran into a girl I hadn't seen or talked to since 8th grade. Back then, she was very nerdy and quiet, had thick-rimmed glasses, always running to and from class, etc. I ran into her at a Blockbuster and she's filled out quite nicely, dumped the glasses, and developed a personality. My jaw dropped when she told me who she was. Didn't believe it for a second.

Second case is, through elementary school and middle school, a good friend lived three houses up from me and he had a little sister that was always following us around. She was dumb, clumsy, and annoying us to no end. Couple months ago, I saw her on Facebook through her brother's page. Holy s***, she is stunning now!! She's just turned 20 apparently (haven't talked to him or his sister in 7 years) and just WOW!!!!!! (lol2)

The part that makes it worse is when they talk to you, tell you how much they wanted to be with you, then tell you all about their deadbeat husband who emotionally abuses them. However they feel trapped due to having a kid with the man and at no point will leave him. However they talk to you almost regularly about how they want to leave the guy and run to be with you as though it was a viable option and just needed planning. Cut to 5 years later and you will lose all feelings you once had for someone that way.

I'm more saddened by the fact that after college college all my good friends I had made and I basically split up over the entire country. I mean literally the entire country: OH, WA, NY, SC, CO, IA. Looking back at the people I knew in HS only makes me happy I got the hell away from them. It's not that I don't like the place (I still love to go back), but 95% of those people have done nothing with their lives.

Same here. Every friend, every roommate, I don't have any contact with at all. Theses are people i spent 3-4 years of my life with almost every day. We did some crazy and fun things together, and most of them I cannot even find. Then again, i am one of those who left. I don't have a facebook and never will. Plus, i am very happy to be away from all the tards in my highschool and home town. My dad always laughs at all of the people who still work at the bowling alley i did 12 years ago. They havent gotten very far.

As far as girls, I had a girlfriend my freshman year in college. We ended up breaking up, and it was rough for a year. Then i was so much happier. The only problem... there were so many girls that told me they totally wanted me my freshman year, but now were all taken. What a total waste that year was! But then i think about how great I have things now. A wonderful wife and awesome daughter (she has been sleeping at least 10 hours straight a night since 2 months). I wouldnt change a thing!

Speaking of YouTube, do any of you smart, intellectual types know a program that can download YouTube videos to my computer then transfer them to MP3's for my iPod? There are a couple of great live music YouTube clips I would love to have the audio on my iPod... I use Windows, because Apples are for hipsters. Thanks in advance!

I've got a program on my laptop at home that will download any youtube video to your computer. then just transfer it to your i-pod like a regular music file.

I've got a program on my laptop at home that will download any youtube video to your computer. then just transfer it to your i-pod like a regular music file.
