The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

What did you decide on? I forgot already...

Pictures are worth a thousand words. I'm a wait til I get them in hand. ;)

Just figured I'd tease a little bit, lol. Was just gonna wait and post pics on the car... (evil)

They are one of the multiple wheels I had been considering and trying to work out a deal on, tho. So, that gives you a list to choose from, lol. Specs are 17x8 +45. Probably gonna get 5mm spacers for them down the road...

even if i could afford a set i wouldnt do it... couldnt stand to see a baller set of wheels destroyed by a pothole....

id never have a set of baller wheels in this area... roads are too bad

Those are the cheapest Works you can buy. Similarly priced to many Enkei's.

Drive slow, swerve around pot holes & man hole covers. Plan routes to the best roads possible. ;)

i dunno about the cincinasti area, but shittsburgh is always getting worse and worse and theres many unseen potholes...

and yes i know they are the most reasonable set of works, but id still never buy a set of expensive wheels for my car in this area... same reason ill never go lower than i am right now...

i built the car to be driven, not to worry about f**king up wheels, scraping and having to change routes etc etc...

Yup. One of my Enkei RPF1's has a huge dent in it thanks to a pothole in Cleveland...

So Steve, you just set "my Enkeis". Was that a hint?

Ya I'm just being a smartass. Roads around here are garbage. bad thing is, they repave roads but they are just as bad as before, because they leave EVERY SINGLE man-hole cover & all the other Metal protrusions from the road sticking up 2"-3" from the pavement... I'd rather have cracks in the road than that!

When did I say that? lol

Just thought I'd post up this set of wheels if anyone is keeping their eyes out for a deal on some Works. Pretty good deal on some CR KAI, 17x7 +47 in Indy. Perfect, no hassle fitment for a protege. Just gotta check the hub bore...

Work Wheels, ftw!

+Infinity!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, I'm over that....but seriously UPS tracking has my wheels moving from Maumee OH to most likely Middleburgh Heights--then tomorrow they should be delivered to my door. I'm pretty excited because I am off of work tomorrow, so i can run them up to MotoMotion immediately and find out what they can do about the hubs. Wish me luck!

PS-I love Work Wheels!

Seller sent me a text earlier saying my wheels had an estimated arrival date of Wed/Thurs. :D
He was gonna forward the tracking # later when he got home. Hopefully my hub rings arrive quickly!!!!

GL with getting the hubs machined out!!!!

Nice!!! Your must not of come all the way from Washington State like mine did.....

Since this thread is random-Anyone use Seafoam? I'm planning on giving it a whirl, but am a little timid to do it. From what I've read it isn't too hard and you can't really screw up, but I wanted some local opinions... I'm running out to Autozone now to get some I think....

I've never dealt with SeaFoam personally, but my friend used it in his Subie a few months ago. I'm not sure what the outcome was, but I do remember seeing him drive down 21 creating a smoke screen James Bond style HAHA...he got pulled over within 2 minutes of driving :)

I ran some Seafoam in the spring through my brake booster vacuum line. It did everything it was supposed to with the smoke screen but apparently my motor was pretty clean because it didn't really smoke up too badly. But I've never really had idle issues or anything so it still felt the same after the treatment.
One thing I would suggest is Lucas Oil fuel injector cleaner. I don't really have issues with my car and it's been running strong since I bought it over 2 years ago. But the Lucas stuff was on sale at Autozone so I snagged a bottle and my MPG's went way up. Good stuff.
