The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

anyone on here play GPRO? We should get a team going if you do.... an ohio mazda team hehe

gpro . se

f1 racing simulation, if anyone is interested in starting, the new season starts in a week.... register and lets get a team going....

okay....that killed it..... but seriously:
GPRO is an F1 simulation racing game. You act as a team manager and hire a driver, update your car, and track finances through a 17 race season. You must practice to setup the car (which are numerical values based on track characteristics), qualify and then a race is simulated against 39 other users in your group to determine the winner. Random elements may interfere and "risks" are used to determine how hard you want your driver to push. This is all done in browser with no downloads or lag time. You can watch the race unfold (every tuesdays and fridays at 2pm) on a screen.... every lap updates every two minutes.... tyre, fuel, and pit strategy plays a key role.... anyways, it is complicated at first, ridiculously easy to grab once you start. There are different levels of competition... you start in rookie and must promote by being top 4 in standings... enough said, try it you'll like it if you like f1 or indy style open wheel racing.

do you have to be at your comp for the race or can you just set it up and let it go and check back later?
what's the link?

Advice time: Does it just make more sense to wait to buy a house till there is a good buffer of savings built up just in case? If I purchase now I do not have any extra money left over that I can put into it right away. I would be waiting to replace or fix things.

You shouild buy the house ASAP, the $8,000 tax credit expires in November. There are a number of programs out there where you can get downpayment assistance and you can save your money for a rainy day.

Also, if you replace appliances, there will soon be tax credits for energy saving appliances coming soon too!
