The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Will you'll find this amusing. I'm having the same bolt issue as you on this front control arm of the miata FTMFL. Never had this issue with the other miata....

When we replace a headlamp and the other one is oxidized, we buff the bad one out of courtesy and for customer satisfaction..

I've seen this and it is amazing. She has some amazing people who work there. They really do take pride in their work.

LOL, I think I gave you my dissertation on how I think those look.

Yeah yeah yeah...... I still love the look of 949s... lol

The detailers might do just that, I don't really see the cars past when I'm done with my part. I just know it looks awful when it leaves my stall. LOL

Haha not a good sign.
Yea, totally didn't see that coming at all either. I had no issues with my 91. And this miata doesn't have much rust at all.... Took about 10 min total to do the rears and the fronts... Omg FUUUUUUUUU. Had to go buy mapp gas. Was kinda cool doing it at night watching everything glow and burn and crap. Guess I won't be putting the stock front struts on ever again.

Aaaaand both bolts are out. At the expense of two struts :/

I've never had that problem with the Miata either. However, the huge bolt at the back of the LCA is stupid hard to get out. I made sure to put plenty of anti-seize on it the first time I took it out and now it comes out with no issue. I'm pretty convinced that I can take the entire Miata suspension apart and put it back together in half the time of the MS3.

If those are still OE struts I don't think you want to put those back on anyways. ;)

And the 6UL's are super sexy.

Finally got to fit the front bumper correctly with the FMIC. Now I just need to bore two holes in the bottom of the front core to inset the intercooler up a little higher. Applied my own anti sag front bumper mounts too. Cost a whole lot of nothing compared to the $40 or so that person on here is selling them for. It's really had to fix. Bolt-washer-fender-bumper-washer-nut and vwalla, anit sag FTMFW!

Dang. I was one of those guys who paid $60 for the bumper sag bracket. Haha. But glad you found something that works. I hope you can make it out soon so I can have another ride in the MSP.

Anyone here going to be at the New Jersey corral may 11-13? I really want to go to that one and want to see who's all going.

I do hope more people from Ohio can come. I expect to see some of the NEPOC folks there. It's always a good time hanging out with those folks.

I'm hoping to make it out to the MAy 6th event. Work sucks right now, working 7 days a week for 56+ hours. Voluntary overtime my ass! I still need to fix the downpipe studs and bolt it up again. I had a 90's comaro pipe off to me the other day while I was behind April at a stop light. I could see her shaking her head in the mirror while I was laughing in my car. She knew I was going to pipe back and I just smiled at him. Nothing like a open downpipe with a snakey hiss to follow. When we got home she was like "You just couldn't resist could you." and "I knew you was going to do that." She was laughing when she said it though so it's all good.

I don't know...I'm not really interested in race cars or anything like that.......

There's a NASA Great Lakes event at Putnam Park May 11-13. Never been to that track so I might end up going. We shall see

There's also a Torqued Racing event at Putnam the following weekend. TONS of track time for half the money. The beaverun event they put on at the end of the season was a little unorganized, but that was their first time at that track. I still had an awesome time, even in the downpour. lol
