The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

For sure dude. Too many project cars for me and not enough room to do it. One of these days when I have my dream garage, different story.

Same here. I was once up to owning 5 cars, 1 truck, and 1 bike. Now I'm down to 2 cars and 1 1/2 bikes (the old Honda doesn't run). I do kinda miss having the 55 sit around, but she is in a better place now.

I would if I had the money, even though I have no room. Engine swap would be easy, but yeah he beat the crap out of that car, who knows what else is wrong with it

Man.. Kinda makes me laugh. It's like no one wants to buy a car that someone's beat the s*** out of before any of us beat the s*** out of it. It's like trying to find a virgin for your next piece of ass.

lulz... they way I see it is that people know I beat the s*** out of mine, but they also know I take care of it and I'm open about it. He's not being very clear

LMFAO - so true

The thing that worries me most about the speed6 is that it still has a lein on it. I've only purchased cars at dealerships/used car lots so I don't know how the title process would work.

I willing to put money it was cylinder #3 that exploded. That is were the balance shaft is located and it is the cylinder most likely to become oil starved.

If the dude beat on it a lot and blew a motor, I am willing to be the differential is probably shot. Or at least the bracket is broken.

Sad to see. If you treat the MS6 right, she will love you right back. You beat on her and piss her off, she will snap and tell you to GTFO.

I bought my speed3 and it still had a lien on it. It was also in another state and I was getting a loan from another bank for it. The process was a little complicated but mostly because it was far away so things had to be faxed and all that. With it being within driving distance, and especially if you pay cash, it would be a very simple process.

since he wouldn't have the title what would he sign over? Since I don't know amything about the process my first thought was he wouldn't bay his loan and the car would get repo'd. Probably not how it works though.

Most banks will hand over the title to the seller ahead of time. You pay off the loan to the bank and they'll refund any extra to the seller. He can then sign off the title to you immediately. At least that's how it worked for me when I bought my speed.

It's really not that different than everything I'm learning with mortgages right now, fun stuff.

THE Phen;5895682 Eh... not really. MS6's have the direct injection DISI motor and the regular 2.3's out of the 3 don't. When it comes down to it said:
the block.[/I]
And swap the rest over?

Morning...nice analogy there Phen! ;)

I say Josh, should buy it and do the Speed6 conversion to the wagon and then part the rest of the car out. Going to guess he'll still make a good chunk of money back and the conversion would end up a lot cheaper than if he sourced the parts himself...then again, he gets discounts...

Speed6 waggin.... I dig that. Might be cheaper to get the parts from another sourced though, especially since it needs a new engine
I don't know, you have everything but the engine... hood front bumper, headlights, whole interior, everything mechanical for AWD

I took the bike to work last night to come out to it covered in frost. My black CBR looked white. Good Times! Everyone referred to me as being nuts, but I just told them I'm a bad ass :)
YOU THERE! I must meet you now. I rode my CBR when it was in the teens/snowing. This was the week right before I got rid of it:

To keep somewhat on topic about that speed 6. I've wondered if it would be possible with a shortened driveshaft to stuff the MS6 engine/drivetrain in the 2. I'm thinking no due to the torsion beam :(
