The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

gimme a break, I'm not a developer. I'm teaching myself HTML and just started to learn apple programming since they signed me up to be a developer in order to download beta software to test, so I thought might as well since they're paying for it

it's a good option for the back end system, especially since we've been incorporating Azure into it (Will, if you have experience with Azure it would be a big plus) but we also deal with apple, android and blackberry

Heh... you said back-end...

sounds tempting, especially since it most likely would mean more money to help me get rid of my ******* debt... but I like what I do (for a change), it'll be hard to find another place like this

I tell you what man... one thing I've found in my limited work experience is that if you like what you're doing... don't risk it unless the potential pay off is worth it. Right now, I'm not happy with a few things that are going on here right now, but they're miniscule compared to the rest of the job... which I love. Several people here are moving on with their careers, whether it's internal or outside.

I know I'm just messin'! :D I don't have any Azure experience unfortunately. The company I work for now sells CRM and ERP software so that is what I work with primarily. The good thing is probably 90% of it is online so it looks like that aligns well with what your company is looking for.

heh heh, cool... heh

I've never been happy at a paying job in 10 years until now, which is why I don't want to jeopardize it. My year review is coming up, so I'm hoping to get a raise, plus the benefits and perks here are really good. Hell, I wear shorts, t-shirt and sandals in the summer, so does the CTO... I've thought about getting a part time again to try to reduce my debt faster but I'm holding off till my review.

If anybody needs Spanish translations let me know, whether it's documents, interviews or conversational groups, I've been looking to do that on the side

No, cause I've already been through it. With women at least.

I just want to find a decent Mech-E/Tech internship so I can get out of this terrible food industry part time job while I'm finishing my degree...

I'm not looking forward to job searching and interviewing. I haven't done it in 13 years, but because I will be graduating in May I really should start soon. Maybe I'll get lucky and something will just fall in my lap like my current job (which is awesome, but not realistic for full time because I have a mechanical/automotive background and 90% of the clients for the firm are chemical).

lol im not beating my chest.

ask corey how he does it. he and april have a msp (modded) a mazda 2 and a cbr 250... and he gets to race. hes got it good.
Thanks Adam. Sorry to bring up an older post. We both work really hard. I either have to jobs or a job and full time school to pay for the goodies that we share. I do have it good though. April is a lot more toned down now than how she was is highschool (thanks to kids :( ) She saw that I had a 1979 Trans AM and she ended up buying a 1980 Firebird. Nothing better than degreasing and scrubbing a empty engine bay for a motor. Dam that was hot. She doesn't mind me spending money on my car just as long as I spend money on her and the kids too. It's all about providing for the family first and smiling a lot when new parts come in the mail later for daddy :)

Xmas shopping - check
School for the semester - check
No work for a full week! - double check
Yeungling stacked in the fridge - triple check
= Good Times!

That's an interesting strategy: boldy highlighting what is without a doubt the ugliest part of the new 3's (hah)
