The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

strut and spring are not together. Spring is inboard, while the shock is in the same place.

I'm around to help out as well. I've already done a few suspension swaps. And yes, the rear end can be a b****, especially with the rear endlinks. But since your car is so new, they may be more forgiving than mine. Isn't that right, Fatti?? :)

pretty soon i'm gonna be the master at job rejection, the hr lady feels so bad she's trying to wait it out till i withdraw my app for one of the many positions I've applied for instead of just saying no.

This dude at the shop won't call back about scheduling a time to get in and now the phone goes to a voicemail. I'm close to just skipping it and getting the BC's. Then calling it quits on the car for a while to save up a good stash for moving this winter and "just in case" events.

I only had two more plans for the car before stopping to save for other things, but if I can't get anyone at a shops attention for plan a, gotta move onto plan b.

I had talked to IPS originally and they are either too busy to schedule or call me back or just aren't up for it. I don't really wanna go back to Slow Motion after my experience with them. That's all I know around here.

IPS. Been waiting a month to get a price on a goddamn set of rotors.

I took this week off work and hoped to get it done. I called middle of last week figuring a week's notice to schedule would be good enough. Said he'd call back to let me know. Didn't call and I called him today, his response "Sorry it took so long to call you" as if he was the one who called me. Said he would call back in a half hour once he's got things figured out and he could tell me exactly when to bring the car in. Two hours later I call them and no one answers, just the voice service. I wait another two hours and the same thing.

slow motion is who did my intercooler pipes , did not do a very good job on them then they broke all kinds of clips and s*** , then fixed everything with zip ties.

If I had a Honda or similar I wouldn't hesitate to take it to Slow Motion because that is their zone. Just need to find someone more Mazda friendly who has customer service.

We should all chip in and start a Mazda only performance shop. Pass around the bucket to collect donations so that we can all quit our jobs and learn these cars inside and out.

You don't want me to do that. My recommendation will almost always be a BP swap.

MSP with a blown motor? BP swap. Naturally aspirated you'll get almost as much horsepower. Boost it, then the sky's the limit.

MS3 / 6 with a smoky turbo? Well... welcome to Mazdaspeed. Hahaha.

My neighbor is the same way. He has a VW R32 boosted. His thought process is if it breaks just have someone rebuild the entire thing. Spends 18g at a time to rebuild at a specific shop. I am working with nickels and dimes here folks. (doh) Hence why tuning with the Standback and adding the FMIC were basically gonna be last steps that way.

Just came back from a trip to South Carolina, with my car. Two kids, wife and a bounch of beach gear. ;) Loved the West Virginia curves and hills. Averaged 30 MPG. While I Was taking this pic, my wife noticed an alligator trying to sneak out of the water behind me, so she lock the doors. She was trying to get rid of me, so she can drive car back! haha
It was an 8 footer! :0
