I have a nice list compiled of goodies I eventually want for my car--something else just got added to the list, and I am ashamed to say it is for exterior looks only. MARLON HOOK ME UP WITH YOUR BOYS!

"Thou who shalt not be named" sells the hood-$695 plus it would need painted. Pricey, but I could totally rock the Corksport FMIC/ram air intake (where the air intake replaces the TMIC and the intercooler moves to the front) with this! Like I said, normally I am not for ricey appearance looks, but I love how the hood just blends gen1 with the one thing genpu got right!

Edit: Just kidding, Marlon. I can't afford that! LOL

Yeah, or Corksport sells a FMIC/Air Intake combo in which the air intake actually sits on top of the engine where the OEM TMIC sits. The intercooler then is moved to the front. So you gain Ram Air to the intake plus open air to the FMIC through the grille opening. Win/Win! I believe it is the exact gen2 scoop molded to a gen 1 hood...nothing fancy, but what every gen1 owner wants!

Evan and I found this at Autozone while Kev was getting his gasket yesterday. It'll really fill out your gauge cluster nicely, plus add functionality!

Sorry such short notice but I'm thinking about a Mazda get together/install party this Saturday at my house. Kevin is installing his BC Coilovers on the Protege and Levi might be coming out so it might be one of the last nice weeks before winter hits. Maybe fire up the grill and burn some stuff and have a couple beers. What do you guys/gals think?

Just an FYO I will be meeting Reed Kryder of Kryder Racing, he has a full service shop, scales, tuning, dyno, suspension, etc. I was referred to him by Will Nonnamaker and I am goingto try and set something up, where we can get some decent deals for all of you current and future track cats!!!! Like corner balancing, etc......

I would totally rock that hood, though. I only know of one other MS3 with it at this point...Simply put, this is how the car should have been from the factory, IMO. I know some might think it is cheesy, but...

What's the weather like, Saturday? I'm so stressed with school and everything this week I have no clue what is going on? I'm down for bringing my car wash stuff out and getting one last detail in...

Lastly, the shop sounds cool. I would like to know rates for using the Dyno just to get a baseline on my car's power output. Keep us informed on how it goes!
