The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Every time I see this video, I wonder how the driver can sit in the seat comfortably. One of my top 5 favorite cars out there for its sure lunacy.

The RUF CTR Yellowbird. Some peole joke about cars being designed to kill you. This one is no joke. It will kill you. 2539 lbs, 469 HP... in 1987

That post brings up a topic of conversation. Money is no object. Your top 5 (or 10 if you're ducky) favorite cars ever built. Let's try to stay factory on this. Anyone can shoehorn an LS into something and create a beast.

I remember the RUF Porsche's from the old school Gran Tourismo games trying to kill me. haha

Yes indeed! I remember the first time I drove the Yellow Bird on that game and thinking "What the hell? Who would want this thing?" Before I understood what it was, and how it needs to be manhandled, of course.

1) Vintage 80's 911 SC vert. Aircooled goodness. Not hugely quick, but by far the most driver's car I've ever driven.
2) Mazda's Rotary Pickup, because it's just so different from everything.
3) Mustang GT500, i'd seriously take any year, or a supercharged cobra for that matter.
4) Arial Atom 3, because who can't love a street legal gocart
5) Lotus Exige S, because Racecar

Sure, there are supercars, and some of the newer technology pushes the limits of what is even safe levels of power for anyone to manage, but there is something about not having all kinds of nannies.

This actually took me longer than I thought it would.

1) RUF CTR "Yellowbird" - Obviously from my previous post
2) Jaguar XKE - Series 1 with the 4.2L. Such a timeless, classy design. Doesn't need to go fast to look good, but it can.
3) 1959 Ferrari 250 GT California Convertible - If you've seen Ferris Bueler's Day Off, this needs no further explanation.
4) 1964 Plymouth Savoy - Max Wedge car. While growing up, my dad's friend was building one. White with red interior. I'd want the factory Max Wedge, including light weight bits.
5) McLaren F1 - The end all-be all in insane hypercar performance. 3 seats, no nannies, no comfort, no BS. Plus that BMW V12 shriek... Yep.

In no particular order:

1. RX-3 SP - vintage import fix
2. '70 Chevelle SS w/ 454 - American muscle
3. late model 911 GT3 RS - track *****
4. '80's Toyota pickup w/ 4x4, x-tra cab, and 22RET or diesel engine - utility
5. '30's Merc or Duesy - for that European dictator feel

2) Maserati Gran Turismo S
3) Aston Martin DB9 ( or any variant)
4) Ferrari 355
5) McLaren F1

I was struggling whether or not to put this, as well as an XJ220 and Vector M12 on my list. I've always loved them.

I've never been a Porsche person but MAYBE I'd pick up a 964. Big maybe.

Your top 5 favorite cars ever built.

Phen said favorite cars ever built. Not which ones you would own. ;)

Here's my list. Flame away! haha

1 - 96-00 Honda Civic hatch
2 - Land Rover Defender 90
3 - 1980's Volvo wagon
4 - Lotus Super 7
5 - Bugatti EB110

Win!

I love the EB110. It's the forgotten brother these days when put next to the pimp ride only owned by rappers. The XJ220 is in my top 10, right next to the Porsche 959. And the good ole Vector. Such a neat car that should have been more popular. I wonder if Thomas Classics still has any of theirs. I remember at one point, they had 3.

I like that Morgan 3 wheeler as well............ but not sure if that counts? Same with V8 Atom lol.

M12 FTMFW, spaceship!

*cough* reliant robin *cough*

Anyone know of any wheels for sale? I know this is weird for me to be asking but I can't find any that aren't sold already. I need 15x7/15x7.5 +25 to +38 sub 13lbs 4x100 wheels for the miata. Like yesterday. Thanks!

Are you going to be competing or something? With that specific range of specs? I bet there's plenty of 15x8s for sale used lol
