The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

That and exhaust systems. Unless it's a pre-formed exhaust, I won't touch it. However, it's rare for me to buy an off the shelf exhaust. Most of mine are always custom because I think that most off the shelfs sound like ass... especially for my Honda.

dude i had a honda before the mazda, still wish the motor hadnt popped... :(

but she ran damn strong for 252k before she died

Haha. It does sound like ass, doesn't it? It's just loud and obnoxious.

My first car @ 16 was a 1994 Honda Civic EX. d16z6. Holla at ya boi! (lol2)

I liked that car a lot, actually. Totaled it my first day of classes @ UC; driving home from school. (sad2)

You're gonna have to elaborate... About to go there in an hour, so make it quick, lol.

a little late im sure but here you go.

had a bad alternator. took it to firestone. gave them a lot of money. they put in some piece of s***. (i saw it later... it was spray painted black) car ran like s***. the transmission (sportauto) went into safe mode, meaning it would only run in 3rd. battery light would come on when that happened. popped both headlights. they wouldnt replace it because they didnt think anything was wrong, since transmission and bad alternator don't usually do things related to each other.

went to the dealership. they actually charged me less than firestone (fuckers) and after some tests, we figured out the alternator firestone put in was over and then under charging. (my guess was the alternator they put in had a built in regulator, and the protege alternator is regulated by the ecu, so they were fighting with each other) this was the reason the bulb popped and the transmission was going into safe mode.

so, they replaced it with a mazda alternator and all is well.

went back to firestone, showed them their guarantee and the note i got from the dealership, and they gave me my money back.

so yeah, **** firestone and the ***** they rode in on.

So nothing to do with alignments. Word. ;)

I suspect it all has a lot to do with the employees @ individual stores...

i didn't know firestone did anything besides tires or minor suspension work

i had a 93 accord with the f22... that lil motor was amazing

40 mpgs on the highway with just catback and intake
and still had the balls to piss off my buddies with civics when id hang with them

i would totally rock a honda hatchback...too bad they are all riced out and overpriced :(

sean had a nice one at some point and sold it to a friend for $300 who promptly blew it up :( he still kicks himself over selling it...it was in extremely nice shape i guess but his friend was desperate for a car and sean already had multiple cars

i want to do an exhaust system to my versa but i'm scared it will sound like s*** like a honda

I miss my '93 hatch very much... She was slow as hell but handled great.

I have mass going on tonight so I may not be able to get a good wash & photo shoot until tmrw night or the weekend...

You don't need no stinkin' front plate. (evil)

Heh. Only one of my cars has a front plate. I used to get stopped a lot for the Protege. Not any more though. MSM has PA inspection stickers in the windshield, so I think that they won't bother me due to those.

Ya, I've never had a front plate on any of my cars in Ohio... lol. I always have it sitting under my passenger seat, but I've never had to get it out or need to show it off...
