The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I would prefer the airport. Large part of the appeal is getting some testing on the concrete in. In fact, I'm planning on coming out to more TEA events this year.

I am with Will, love the airport events.........we should have pretty good turnouts for these events, there might be a little Red Italian Scorpion coming to play

jezus.. Are all those personal? That's nuts.

Although, who knows how many hangouts I send.. It's too easy to switch between the phone and computer so never really counted.

I can't s*** talk MS3 owners and NOT show up to prove it...

Airport it is. Sounds good to me. I'm open to whatever. Just want to plan for the biggest turnout with the best fun factor for everyone.

Not sure what the challenge is on the 14th, but my vote is the 15th of June.

The callenge is pretty cool. Your are randomly teamed up with another person and combine the index times for both cars and compare them to all the other teams. Usually run the course backwards too.

I did the challenge 2 years ago and had a blast. I sucked, because of were the car was placed in index, but was still fun. They usually discount the weekend if you do both events too.

Will... you don't count because I didn't talk s*** against you. ;)

Haha, I know I'm just giving you a hard time!

I'd be willing to make a weekend out of it depending on what everyone else wants to do.

car salesmen....(smash)

Nathan,

I can see how the other vehicles may look appealing, however you are comparing apples to oranges. The Mazda3 that I have in inventory is a Grand Touring not a touring and hardly any miles on it, verses 13k. We are talking many more features and leather seats vs. cloth, there is no comparison.

Regarding the 2013 Hatchback, what trim level is the one your looking at and is it pre-owned as well? Both of my vehicles are new, so how is that even a fair comparison?

My response

First, it is oranges to oranges. They are all Mazda 3’s.

The ’12 s model while appealing with leather and sunroof isn’t a must have for me. Plus the S is only 12 hp more than the 2.0l skyactiv while about 7 mpg’s combined less. That adds up, especially with the extra price difference already. While never titled and low miles, it’s basically a used car at this point. I wouldn’t do more than $17,500 so that one is out. You’re probably going to be sitting on this one for a while until you drop it below $20k.

Your ’13 I Touring hatch is exactly the same as the used ’12 sedan hatch local to me save for little things Mazda added/subtracted between the model years. Only differences are the color and the Hatch, $500 more than the comparable sedan when new. 13k miles on a car is nothing, for most people that’s one year. Plus it’s priced pretty close to invoice plus incentives which would be the same as me using s-plan. If I’m going to use s-plan I might as well use it on a ’14 model. Plus remember the 2 hour drive. Unless this is going for less than $16,500 it’s not worth it. New yes, Longer warranty yes but will be voided before it’s up. I’m getting more bang for my buck used.

Secondly, It’s Nathaniel. Not Nathan. So you lost the sale anyway.

Possibly a little harsh, but the guy just couldn't take no. Thank god Nick is nothing like that. I guess I'm partially to blame for inquiring in the first place...but not really.

First of all, this is what you get when you try and stray from me.

Second, what cars were you writing them about?
