Have a miata in mind. Just have to get cash together to go get it. Its not a rush I am just thinking out loud. Also the fact that the ms3 has been sucking me dry with the build lately that its kinda hard to have a positive attitude when I look at it
The ms3 is enjoyable to me but I was really disappointed in its performance at autox and I knew I wouldn't autox it again after last season. Also When it was on the track I spent more time than I ever should have in the pits trying to get it so that I could run it. The ms3 pushed through every turn, Will has half the power and was running circles around me along with every other miata and rwd car out there.
I enjoy both but if one is gonna be a DD and one is more a track/autocross/weekend fun car...
I will pick FWD to DD all day haha

What did you have to do in the pits? It sounds like you just had too much power, I didn't have an issue at Mid Ohio with the MS3 pushing through the turns.
The MS3 was a great DD when I had one, I loved it. Complete s*** when I autocrossed it though. I'm sure that could've been fixed or improved but why? It's never going to handle like a Miata and that's what makes autocrossing or tracking a car fun.

That. I did everything when it comes to bolt ons with the car and all I care to try and CORRECT the handling issues. But why? Why, do I have to correct stuff when I can be improving? The ms3 is on the fast track to 500+ hp and a zzb
I saw your lines at Mid-Ohio from that video you posted and they were less than optimal to put it nicely... It makes sense that you weren't getting any understeer because there was no way you were pushing the car hard enough to get to that point. MS3s have notoriously horrid understeer, you must be awesome if you were able to magically cure that and still go "fast" aka turn in good lap times.
Plus it takes no skill to mash the pedal in a straight line. I see it all the time when I pass Porsche's with 3x the HP.

Patrick, what Will and the others have is more seat time, which is why they can run circles around you! One of the things I've learned from some of the best drivers is that better drivers started out in momentum cars, not high HP cars. If you go to track days, the high HP guys have trouble with the low HP cars, because they know they have to keep the car going in order to be competitive. HP can cover up mistakes and more.......I had a guy that had a GTR and he was running with me @ PIR and he could only pull on the front straight, I caught him by turn 2 and went around him a couple of times...he was confounded how I I kept lapping him......if you have a plan stick to it, do not keep changing cars without a purpose or direction. Learn how to drive what you have, hell track the Neon. I have a friend, Missy Davis that competes in wheel to wheel in NASA PTF, she runs a Neon....I have watched her grow from auto-x, to HPDE's , to TT's and now wheel to wheel.....all with one car, her Neon.......
No doubt I can improve my line, it was only my 2nd time at Mid O. I was keeping up with my friend in his modded E36 w/ M3 engine, which I thought for my 2nd time there was a good attempt. And I was definitely pushing the car, I know how to do that at least.
Just because someone has more HP or weight in their car doesn't mean they don't have skill, I don't see the correlation. Not everyone drives flat out.

Yes. I built a 500+ hp ms3 because I knew the car sucked (IMO!!!!) as a track and autox car. I wanted it to be a nice weekend meet car. It is almost becoming more of a "I have bigger dick than you" car that I have always made fun of in the past. I know what I want and its not a fwd track car
Also I have upgraded brakes, suspension, slicks, tuned and I was pushing through every turn I was fighting to turn the car rather than focusing on driving

No weight and HP has no correlation on skill, that's not what I was saying. You said that you weren't experiencing any understeer in your car... which is understandable because you weren't pushing your car through corners where understeer would occur. Your lines simply would not allow for it.
Slow is a relative term.
