Well, just got my last piece of the motor swap puzzle so it will be going down this weekend if anyone wants to stop over and lend a hand or hang out. Jake, V and I will be wrenching.

just be careful with 16s and ms3's... depending on offset they may or may not fit...

It sounds so much more fun thinking about it like a puzzle!
My current motor's timing chain is loose so instead of replacing it for $700 I'll just swap my new motor in, along with the other goodies. And Jake gets a long block to build.
We'll have a Corona next time, buddy.
Yep, I'll start on it Friday after work. Then most of the work is going down Saturday. I scheduled Monday and Tuesday off work juuuuust in case...
I'm better with motor swaps than puzzles... haha. Hopefully this one goes smoothly.
I don't think it has, which is why I really don't want to drive it in the salt.

I've got some maintenance items to do but I was planning on asking $3,600. The problem is, it is no longer miata season lol. There is light surface rust underneath but it is light, I was impressed when I went to look at it. 91, 109k
That's a very fair price. And probably accurate for this time of year. If none of the maintenance items are major you might be able to get a bit more from the right buyer. Or one of the meeps around here could snatch it up and get a heck of a deal.
It was my impression that all Miatas had a rubber undercoating (I know mine does). (The reason I think this is there was a controversy where someone scraped it all off and saved a couple pounds and it was deemed illegal for ST autocross.)

That being said the only way I would pick up another RX-7 is if its a low mile stock 79 Sa in Excellent shape because there value has been climbing the past few years.
