The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I would say do that before the FMIC, that might have been one of my issues after the downpipe. I replaced the whole pump, didn't have a good experience with Fez when we did his internals.

That's when c-tree earned the "smoke screen" status all over again. The whole street was smoked the f*ck out. I've never seen that much smoke come out of one car without burning something to the ground. :D

Continental Extreme Contact DW in 205-50-16. $336 for 4 from TR. Marlon can get you an $80 discount. So $256 + shipping, mounting and balancing. Best deal you're going to find for what you're looking for right there.

the 'discount' is after you order the tires at the full price, Continental sends you an $80 Visa gift card to use wherever Visa is accepted.

where was I when that happened? : /

I have no idea.. this was at Pablo's old house. I think I sent you a "sunset on a flatbed" picture. hahaha It was quite moving.

I just posted my 92 Protege for sale on Craigslist. I wonder if there will be any interest in a 22 year old modded Protege.

i scan craigslist for mazdas every day... i can't buy anything though.
Is that interest? 1992 protege? That's a hot car...

Ill second or third (or however many already said it haha) but i do LOVE my Continental DW's, pretty quiet, grippy (wet or dry) and should get 2 summers of not very easy driving out of them haha

So I pulled up to the drummers house for this new band I'm auditioning/rehearsing for and what's parked in his driveway? A Mazdaspeed6. Yeah, we're pretty much best friends now. And he's a good drummer.

Phen, I think that makes four of us musician/car guys in the world.

A friend of the family is looking for a car for her 18 year old daughter. I'm not sure if a 20+ year old car would be good for her first car though, and, she doesn't know how to drive a manual. lol

I can run it by her anyway though...

Thanks for looking out, Josh. I think an older Protege would make a great first car, if she could drive manual. Only thing about this is that it has performance modifications -- not sure how well that would fit for a first time driver.

I just have concerns about the safety factor of older cars, and the reliability. But, she doesn't have much to spend (works part time at Taco Bell, graduating high school in a few weeks, then off to college), so beggars can't be choosers!

I doubt the modifications would have any impact on her, since she really doesn't have much driving experience to begin with. It would just be her getting into her new car, and driving it like any other car.

Looks nice, but I don't need another car. Sorry.

However, if it's that old it might turn out to be a good lemons car... here we go again lol

Heh. For sure a rarity. You'll have to fill me in on what style you guys are doing.

It would cost ALMOST what you spent on Bill's car in order to prepare a Lemons or Chump car. You already have one race car you don't drive yet...

The butt dyno approves. Much better sound from under the hood and feels happier at higher rpms. Hopefully the mpgs go up a little as well. The protege picked up 2-3 mpg. That would put me around 36-37 mpgs with the new 3. :)
