It really depends on the sanctioning body, but yeah, that's the general idea. I just went with FIA/SFI approved harnesses because I figure in another year I'll register the RX-7 as a "classis" so it'll be exempt from inspections anyway.

What are these "inspections" you speak of? Ohio inspections? or track inspections?

Which reminds me of a funny story, I had a racing seat and 4 point harness in my EG Civic and got it e-checked and the dude working there was so big he barely fit in the seat. Then he stalled it twice. And could barely get out. It was funny to watch.
