I have my first gig in an hour! Engagement photoshoot! Like JRI Photography on Facebook!
Trying to build up my portfolio and eventually gain the experience to shoot weddings and higher end stuff. Then, using the money I earn from these gigs, slowly upgrade my equipment to 100% professional stuff. For now, the ole Canon EOS 1000D and 50mm f1.8 lens will have to do...and a lot of work in post-processing!
For those camera geeks, this is my wishlist:
Canon 5D Mark II Body (For now, I might upgrade to a T4i, 60D, or 7D)
Tamron AF 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical (IF) Lens
Tamron SP AF 70-200mm F/2.8 Di LD (IF) MACRO
I'm ready to find a consistent 9-5 job and then do this on the weekends. I want out of retail!

Never drivin' a standard shift car... (whatever.)
Back when i had friends, a few of them had standards and one used to drive us around in his standard mazda3. He steps on the gas, car responds. Fun car.
My favorite is trying to accelerate when me and the pro. are trying to get on a busy highway... say, on the short on-ramp from I270-US33 south/east. When i step on the gas, the trans' wants to stay in 4th for a while, and when it does decide to go into a lower gear there's a massive RPM jump followed by almost no notable acceleration (stock FS-DE).
My parents can both drive a stick shift though- they had 'em when they were my age. Now we've gone automatic

I like it on the red too. But its a shiny black and with the black mica it clashes and looks terrible and I just still can't even look at the hideous blue. The gun metal I think looks good (gun metal RX8's on mine in the spring) so I'm a tad bias

The Mk3's are really nice... I played with one last week...
My brother loves them with the darker wheels. lol He also thinks they made the scoop on the hood bigger, but I can't tell?
Pretty solid wish list. Canon released the 6D a month (or maybe 2 now) ago. Might be another option for you as it's a little cheaper than the 5D IIRC. I had an 85mm f/1.8 for a while which was amazing for portraits on a crop body.
If you need a backup body for any reason you're welcome to borrow my 60D. I only use it occasionally anymore, and hardly ever in the winter. I also have a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8
I've had them for sale for a while and there hasn't been a ton of serious interest. If you change your mind let me know.
I finally got around to putting them on other forums than just this one over the last couple of days.Every time I look at a red MS6 I wish i would have gone with it. I had a chance to buy one for the same price I got my MS3 for but it had evidence of previous mods and was not owned by a 65 year old guy that had it completely dealer serviced. I love my car but I just can't help but think what it would have been like to have one
oh yea I just get jealous sometimes but yes wheels options are endless (your signature is example one) But I love the size of my car and everything about it (except for the lack of awd) I just need to get some money to put into it again and I'll be happy again
