The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Also, I know that in some towns (Surely not Ravenna or Rootstown because I've done this) but unregistered cars on your property can score you a ticket. Munroe Falls is one of those places. Really surprised they haven't found the 2002 yet.

same in Solon. My boss is getting nervous cause he has a dead car in his driveway and the town came around on him already but since it's still registered he's ok. if he let's the reg expire then he has to put it in his garage or he'll get cited for having it in his driveway. i guess some towns don't want people's yards looking like junk yards. i can understand the cities point of view, but on the other hand, if it's my property and i'm in a pinch and can't fix it right away, i should be able to keep it on my property!!!

That should be his avatar!

hells yeah!!

Lulz, the miata hasn't been registered for 3 years. Cops drive by real slow but when it's a shell I don't think they know why they're looking at :)

Has it been 3 years? Now I don't feel so bad my swap is taking so long. Granted, it's not nearly as involved as yours though...

Seems like just a year or two we were all at Speghetti Warehouse for Superfly. Ah, the good ole days.

This is the first year I haven't registered the camaro, but the tags say 09 I think. I think everyone in my mom's neighbor hood is used to it. I did have one neighbor call the civic association to complain about it years ago.

what is the process to get plates again? will I need it to pass any tests or just a check book and the title?

Ask Phen about getting historical plates so you don't have to mess with it for quite a few years. His Bavaria has them.

If your car is 25 years old or older you can get historical plates. You have to have another car as your daily driver. the plates cost about $25 and are good for 50 years.

Damn! 4 more years till I can get historical plates for the miata LOL!

And I bought my motor on 5/13/2010, Evan. The car was torn down a little before that... So
I rounded up to 3 years :) lol

that sounds like a good deal. The Camaro turned 37 this year

If you aren't eligible for historical plates check out collector plates.

I do believe that if the car is not of a certain age, you need to provide receipts totaling over $5k worth of work done to the car. My friend Erik has collector plates on his fox body since it won't pass emissions. I can ask him for full details if required.
