The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

their FAQ says "typically about 50% of the cost of new". Meh, for $60 i'd rather just buy a new wheel than deal with swapping out all 4 wheels just to bring the bent one down to them...

In your case yes, new would be better. I think it would be worth it for wheels that are discontinued.

BTW, I still have your Bier Haus certificate...

I've got nothing but time since my P5 is on jackstands and the Star Specs still have some life left in them. I just want something for the spring tostreet drive and auto-x with so I can learn on street tires. Then progress to the NT-01's I already have mounted.

edit- Jon, I had Motomotion repair one of my bent RPF1's and they did a great job. Repair and powder coat was $70 IIRC.

screw it Evan, just get a new set of NITTOS N-1 and scrub em and race em........They are the same compound as the R-1's as Toyo owns Nitto.

I agree...I got my Nitto NT-01s and they are SUPER sticky, especially when they're hot. I used them at Beaverun and Mid-Ohio (85-90 degree day) and they didn't get greasy at all. Just kept on sticking. Plus they were only $800 shipped from Discount Tire for 234/40/18. I'm sure you'll be running 17" wheels and they'll probably be cheaper.

i went ahead and ordered a new one. maybe once i move the tire over (still got lots of tread left) i'll get it repaired. keep it as a spare or something

What wheels do you have on the Speed6, Jon? I don't recall seeing them last time we were all at a meet. Post up a pic, yO!

speaking of Speed6's, the older gentleman waiting for me at the gas pump this morning had one. When I walked out of the store from paying before getting into the Milly I said "I love your speed6." He was like "Huh? Oh, yeah, thanks...". It was stock so he probably didn't really care about it, but I still think they're sexy as hell.

they've been on there for a couple years. Drag DR-33s in Gunmetal.

They look small for the wheel housing, but they still look good.

I'm going crazy that my order for cf hasn't came in yet. Hopefully it comes in next week so I can start the fenders. Buhahahaha. I has some wicked sketches of how I want the fenders. They should fit a 255-265 tire. At least that is what my plans are. Can someone say widebody MSP? Then I have to make a front bumper with lip to match :) Gonna look nasty! I have a feeling the front is going to be a b**** to make though. I'm going to get some pics of the car (before, now and after shots) and maybe finally start a build thread. Mainly for the exterior stuff and hopefully it will push me to work on the exterior more and have it finished before next spring and hopefully make a little $$$ on the side.

I would be interested in stock fenders. Doubt I'll be able to afford them though

I probably make 2 molds. One stock and one with a "little" flare :) I'm sure we can work something out Nate. I want to make sure it is a good product before they go on anyones car.

I would probably get them painted so they wouldn't have to be perfect.

After changing the side mounts and back to stock injectors I am happy with my car again

I'm just sayin...... it's fine for a girl to have fake guy parts, it should be fine for a guy to have fake girl parts!!

Not even kidding, when I was in HS, a group of three guys (underclassmen) were talking about getting one to share. I mean money is tight at that age, but seriously...
