The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

The squeeking drove me batty on Fatty so I just switch back and forth from HP+ to HPS after an auto-x. But I can certainly tell the difference in those pads. I can't imagine how good real track pads must feel.

The Cobalt Friction pads are amazing, the initial bite is amazing. People who have driven/moved the car, always say, what kind of pads/brakes do you do you have......

I love my Porterfield pads. My rotors hated them at Mid-Ohio though along with my cheap brake fluid. I'll hopefully be upgraded both of those soon.

Brake pads are like oil, everyone has their faves haha. I prefer Carbotech personally. I have a set of Cobalt Friction pads for the STI that I'd like to try at some point.

I'm still getting use to it. I like it because I have to plan my entry a little different on sharp corners and it helps me think about my driving lines and how I can change them for my runs to carry more speed and use less effort. It is a lot easier to feel the breaking point for the tires with no PS.

My brother will be hanging out with us next Sunday at Lakeland and will ride along with me, if any of you other guys want some ballast. He's kind of a character and a loud mouth so it should be interesting. But in a good way. haha

He's got a Bimmer I told him to sign up with but I doubt he will.

Peaches, your avatar is confusing. I see a Panda and I think it's Phen posting. lulz
