The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

I was going to say the same thing, Will.

Chris deleted his post, Larry.

yes, my local autox isnt welcome so I will post elsewhere

Nah, posting about it is fine by me. I just didn't think it was necessary to post 43 crappy pictures of people we do not know. Videos/pics/stories of or about yourself or people who know are fine in my opinion. Maybe others feel differently, I'm just busing your balls. (But please don't post them again, haha)

I concur. Posting IN auto-x pics on the OH thread is kinda pointless. Unless you wanted to post a couple pics of your own car. I don't take pics when working my assignment anyway. ;)

because I definitely took pictures while trying to enter cars into the timing computer.....

That would explain the lack of the ability to focus on the subject of the picture... Unless you meant to focus on the ground/grass behind/around the car. ;)

the grass was pretty. I wanted to roll around in it

I'm pretty excited to see that 3 other GS cars are registered. I get to see how the Fiat compares to other cars in class during a non-points event.

I'm going out there to work, I don't think the Rx-7 will do well in a small lot, the power is all at the top of the rev range. And the Miata is still stored in winter mode.

Anyone want to do the fun day at Nelson Ledges on Saturday, May 10th? I'm thinking about it. Looks like $130 for a track day.

Holy s***. Is that Ivan?! What's up, dawg!

I think a lot of us are doing the Smokey's dyno day that day. You should come to that and see what Shamu is putting down. $50 for 2 pulls.

So... the Shakedown at the Speedway autocross was yesterday.

Holy s*** is the Abarth fun! Even with the craptastic factory tires, it managed to impress the hell out of me. I'm not going to say that the car was the best thing I've ever driven out there (because it's not), but it did a really damn good job. Maybe a set of summer tires are in order this year...

Looks like I'll most likely be running the Alero again this Saturday for autoX unless I find someone to co-drive with :(
Hopefully no flat tires this time around...
