I'm signed up for the Cincy/OVR SCCA autocross on April 6th.

Also signed up for the NOR PCA lapping day on May 2th, the Auto Interests day as an instructor on May 5th, and the NNJR PCA DE at Mid-Ohio May 16-18.

Just wanted to let anyone know who may be intersted in getting into Track Days, that NASA Great Lakes is offering $59 Hyperdrive event @ Mid-Ohio on, Saturday, April 12. This is a great way to see how well you and your car will handle on one of America's Premier Road Courses..... 20 minutes of track time, plus you can go back out on the parade laps and practice what you've learned and class room instruction as well.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a little fun, I know that a fwe of the guys got their start by doing this, Evan #1 & 2, Chippy and Larry........well worth the money.....

I did two Hyperdrives and they were a freaking blast. For anyone that thought the parade laps at MidOhio were fun you need to do one of these. You're with an instructor and can go as fast as you're comfortable with, wide open or just learning the lines at a slower pace. No passing unless you're waved by, of course.

Marlon, you should post that link on OMS to see if anything of those guys would be interested.

I agree on the iffy weather. But I might go anyway if the P5 is done by then. Even if it isn't I might just go for the hell of it if there are enough Meeps planning to go. Put Mr. Ballast down as a maybe. Lol.

Continental has intorduced a new tire for auto-X & HPDE's...only comes in 18's, 19's & 20's. I reached out to my contact @ Continantal about them coming 17's.....Tire Rack is the only authorized dealer so far......trying to get a set


Currently, Tire Rack is the exclusive source for selling the ForceContact.
If sales go well, then expanding the sizing into 17" could very well
happen. I have not fully confirmed if this tire is included on ContiClub.
You can always try and request it.

Not at all. They're on the cheap side for what they are. Their main competitor would be the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup. Which is why I'm guessing the Contis are only available in Porsche sizes...
