The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

Marlon do you know what kind of discounts I can get? Just so I know how much money yo put aside?

I use hp +on the Miata and the RX -7 for dd and auto x, but had fade problems 2-3 laps in at Mid -Ohio. I would use something alittle more aggressive.

10-15%, spoke with Glenn and he will provide me a code for you guys who are interested. I did confirm with Glenn that for the Speed 3 XR-2 Front and XR-5 Rear. Also for you guys who want a less agressive pad, they are developing a pad for Street/Auto-x, as they getting the new machines. I will also see if I can get some Cobalt Friction Swag, T-Shirts, hats and lanyards for you guys who order.

Oh yeah they will be mine. Just let me save a little then I'll post up here when I order them

I don't know if I should register or not. The AFR's under WOT are so unpredictable now. IT use to just bury itself at 10. Now it is jumping in between 10 and 13. FML I don't know why it would very so much under the same conditions and pulling ranges. I just don't want to go replace another motor or go ZZB that far away from home. If the motor blows over here it isn't a big deal, but it is a huge hassle if it blows over there. Just sucks knowing the motor is going to go any time now with 230k+ miles on it. Just a ticking time bomb and Just hoping it last for the next event over here. I think the last event I'll be racing my buddies M3 and giving the MSP a good rest and converting the suspension over so I can drive her more until next race season.

Here is an inexpensive way to clean your wheels after a hard day at the track! Scrubbing Bubbles!!!!! Yes, the bathroom sink, tile and tub cleaner works better that any of the wheel cleeaners on the market! Just cleaned my track wheels and all of the track dust from last weeks HPDE!

Nice. Does it have anything that will eat at the wheel coating?

I use simple green to clean my wheels, it is safe on painted wheels and it makes a great engine degreaser.
I also remove my wheels after a track day or auto x, it makes it a lot easier to clean both sides of the wheel and you can inspect them for damage. And since you already have the wheels off it makes it great time to clean and inspect your suspension and brake pads for wear and rotors for cracks. and if your as ocd. as I am you can clean off the suspension and wheel wells before installing your dd wheels.

Unless my boss approves my mileage expenses for the last few weeks by today,im not gonna be able to make it to the autox on the 15th. Poop
