The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

Welcome to the dark side... Any of you guys coming over to next Sundays last TEA airport event?

I'm not sure if I can yet. Depends on the cash flow situation (which isn't looking promising right now).

Exactly my reasoning too... :(

But I still had a blast. And man that 2-step launching is freaking fun! haha

I'm also curious to see who was the fastest in our group. I think it was Phen, right? A 38. something? Nicely done, sir.

39.112 was my fastest (last digit may be different). I had all my note pads, but they blew out as soon as we got on the highway. I guess we'll get official confirmation when the results are posted.

Lol, the one downside to having the top down.

I am registered, depends on how many of the local folks are attending whether or not I go! had a blast this whole weekend. Spicy is doing very well, trying to get the suspension dialed in, got alot more feed back using street tires as opposed to the slicks @ yesterdays event.

Tessa also had a great time riding along with me and Marc. She was laughing the entire run the first session we were out. haha. I think next time she might drive the Mini. :)

She should drive the MINI, I think it would be a great experoence for her! She will be impressed how well the MINI does and what she can do woth that car.....

That what i was telling her too. Anything you learn on the auto-x course you can apply to your regular driving. You learn the capabilities of your car and just how much you can push it. I told her when we got home, "See, my car can handle pretty well for such a fatty. So don't be scared if I take an on-ramp briskly.". haha

She's just afraid she'll break something. But that little car only has 16k miles. So with a little bit more pressure she'll give it a try, even at a slow pace, and I'm sure she'll get hooked. Problem is she works every Sunday morning. But she still had a blast and thank you guys for everything. :)

Evan, co-drive the car with her, I am sure she'll feel better about doing it, if you are with her.

lol! Nope. I still haven't driven it. Heck, she didn't even let me drive the TT until Phen drove it first. Go figure. :D

I told her I'll ride with her and help her out and not pressure her or push her to go faster. It's all her call. So we shall see.

Not sure I'll have the funding for Toledo this weekend though, Corey. It's Tessa's b-day Thursday so I've got to buy flowers, gifts and all that crap. lulz.

lol, I'll tell her you said so.

We missed you and Will yesterday though. :( But school work and farms are more important.

I'm already looking forward to next summer and all the autocrosses you guys are going to come to. ;) It's much more fun with a big group.

Yes I wanted to be there but I ended up working in the morning fixing my boss's down spouts (extra $100) and then working from 3-11:30 on math homework :/. I'm looking at picking up a set of rx7 fd wheels right now that I can throw some better autox tires on I think the slicks are better suited for track days rather than autox
