The mspeedP5 Microtech thread

If both are left installed, the ECU will TRY and utilize them, but may not be able to understand what's going on since it's no longer in control. No stock O2 is required with the microtech, and are non-value added (unless you're working toward turning off the CEL) ... what is a must is having your own wideband so that you know what's going on. Even if the stock O2 sensors are sending good data to the stock ECU, it can't do anything to correct in the event that you're not running appropriate fuel.

Hmm, still confused why there is an O2 in the wiring diagram for the MT. Anyway, I guess I can just remove one of the two in my DP and replace it with the WB sensor?

On the MSP stock exhaust, there is actually an unused O2 bung that is just capped off ... that's what I used, and left the two stock sensors in place. You might want to see if you might have the same thing (assuming your on the stock exhaust) or take your exhaust to a welder and have an additional bung added if you want to keep your stock O2 sensors in place.

As far as the wiring diagram ... I assume this is in the Microtech install manual? Can you post it up or a link if it's online somewhere?

I'm running the MAM V.1 Street Sleeper. The DP has 3 bungs, 2 have the OEM sensors in them and the 3rd is unusable because of clearance.

I guess I can take the 2nd O2 sensor out without causing any problems then?

Not familiar with your setup, but that should be fine as long as it is NOT after the cat...if you have one.

Can I Data Log AFR With my LT10s and Autometer WB?

The gauge has one wire to go to a data logger or ecu but where to connect and will it work?

Got an early Christmas present...

...from myself :D

Bought an OBD2 Code Reader.
Now I know that it is normal to have the CEL lit with the MT but if there are other things going on then it should still be able to tell me correct?
Here are the 6 error codes that came up:

P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P0113 IAT Circuit High Input
P0122 TPS A Circuit low Input
P0118 Engine Coolant Temp Circuit High Input
P0037 HO2S Heater Control circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0480 Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit Malfunction

Are these all MT caused or should I be looking at something further?

IAT could be MT if you put the resistor on the IAT line (which you would of had to to get it working properly)
TPS could be the microtech....
engine coolant temp would be microtech - the stock ecu is having a shitfit at the fact that you haven't got the water temp sensor hooked up anymore.
heater control circuit no idea
cooling fan if the MT is in charge of it, could be the case.

Camshaft position sensor - hrmm thats a toughy... your camshaft wiring is different to the australian spec, but i do know for a fact that there is one wire which is cut and not patched up in my car, and its the only way i can run it if i want the stock tacho working....i guess its possible????

Did you take out the second HO2S? If so, maybe try reconnecting just the heater wire to see if that clears the code and stash the sensor somewhere safe, if not in the exhaust. My stock sensor wires are cut, with just the heater circuit running and the sensor still installed. I have a different ECU and piggyback though.
