The Moderately Low (Not Slammed) and Functional Thread

Thanks. I am still undecided--hopefully my decision will be made tomorrow by the time I place an order, LOL. Probably should take this to PM, but here is my thinking:
1. BC Coilovers ($1000)-Height and Damper adjustable, stiff, built for more heavy track use---build quality issues???
2. HR Coilovers ($1100)-Height Adjustable only, not as stiff, progressive springs for easy DD ride, yet good on track. However progressive springs can be somewhat unpredictable compared to a spring that will react the same regardless of the load.---build quality will be much more reliable???
I am a "go big or go home" kind of guy. The car will see minimal track time, but some every year. Mainly a DD, 70k miles. I don't mind a harsh ride, and at first I thought damper adjustments were a 'have to have.' Now I am not so sure... Anyways, we will see what happens tomorrow, but any last minute ideas and experiences to help my decision will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I am not a spring expert but I believe that stock springs have a bit of "progressiveness" built into them, otherwise they would ride too rough or be too soft but instead end up somewhere in the middle. I would go for a progressive springs. Again not an expert opinion but I feel that you will be happier in the long run. They are going to be stiffer than stock but not beat the crap out of you on the daily drive side of things. You say now that you don't mind a harsh ride but I think you will get tired of it before long. Hope it helps Chippy.

yeah, a common problem with the BCs i had was the endlink tab snapping off from regular stress. happened to me and they sent me a replacement with the "new" design which looked exactly the same! the damper adjustment was nice. but it only goes from super stiff to super super stiff... great for the track. the H&Rs don't have as many features but are well built. the endlink tab is beefy as hell. no problems with unpredictability on the progressive springs. i push the car to the limits on the track and it holds a corner just fine, almost no body roll. honestly, i don't think you'll be making a mistake with either one.
im using plastic plugs from home depot. found in the fastners section. i sanded them smooth and used touch up paint to paint them. two of the big holes are 3/4" one is 11/16" and im having a hard time with the smaller holes. im thinking its gonna be the 1/4" ones. and for the square holes. i have no clue. lol ill snap a photo tomorrow

I used 1/4" round plugs on the square holes..

Here's my quick little blurb on this subject.
All the adjustments in the world don't mean s*** if you don't know what to do with them, and how it will benefit (or harm) you if you make an adjustment. I see the adjustable drivers for golf and think to myself "Ok... you can't tell me that an amateur who would be driven to go buy one of these because it will "help his game" is anywhere near consistent enough to actually blame a club's character for how badly he shanked the s*** out of the ball." Now... if you read up, learn about it, experiment, get some tips from people who are in the know... sure... they can be handy.

Two weeks of fender wrestling and tweeking to squeeze these fat extremely stickyass tires in there and have no rubbing 225/40-18 Kumho Ecsta XS. Slammed maybe...functional 100%!!!

Does anyone have or have insight on the yellow speed coilovers? They could be the only thing between me and some bc's.

I wish mine sat like yours though...
Found out that the spring perch on the stock msp struts is about 5mm higher than aftermarket tokicos. I don't know if it'll be much of a visual difference, but I might switch out the rears for just a little more low.
