That pic could be slightly confusing for noobs. Since it is not the mazdaspeed exhaust, it doesn't have the second cat on the midpipe, and the s-pipe is not shown there. A long time ago I used to think pipe #6 was the "s-pipe"

Based on turbo car exhausts and how they work, the downpipe on the MSP should be considered as two pieces. The "J" and "S" pipes. They're both cast pieces. Its' the same part, just two pieces. A two piece mid-pipe made from two different materials doesnt really make sense.

J and S pipes are not actual names of these parts. Those are just forum jargon.

I would have to agree with this. I have never heard anyone refer to the "J" pipe as part of the mid-pipe.

Just playin....it would be nice to see the MSP exhaust, but this is the closest thing to it, and I thought it would be beneficial.

Oh, and corksport offer a "J" pipe back and I guess a full turbo-back now. You have them under the catback section. Also, MAM offers a mild-steel "S" pipe as well as mild or SS versions of the integrated "S/J" pipe or DP (coated or non-coated). It might help to separate these for those looking at using different exhaust combos.

This part by definition, is a midpipe that replaces part of the downpipe. They call this piece a downpipe however.

CorkSport's exhaust is a downpipe-back exhaust. They now offer a complete two piece downpipe. So the those parts together would be a turbo-back exhaust.

*yeah, it's in cat-back on the HPF site. I would have to create a whole new section to change that. It'd be harder for customers to see we have it that way however.

I have one ???? What is the ID of the the stock MSP muffler? Does it swell to a larger size or stay under 2.3"?? THanks

i'm not positive but i believe it stays the same diameter throughout, ~2.3".

Thanx...I was thinking of keeping for the OEM look, but that's when I thought it was 2.5".

you can still keep an OEM look depending on the muffler you choose. for example, you could get a universal magnaflow oval muffler and have a similar tip welded on.

ok i think i fixed pretty much everything mentioned and added some things i forgot to include. how's it look now?

later on, i plan to get rid of all the website address and have them embedded as the company names. i also want to have a short table of contents with an internal page jump to make finding a certain question easier. that's the plan at least
