I think this thread should be stickied. I found it to be the most useful echaust thread on the boards.

that's the best part on the car, people laugh and point then choke on my exhaust when I blow their doors off, like I did to you this afternoon :P

Does anybody have the MAM catted midpipe and the GTSPEC ladder bar? any clearance issues?

according to corksport's website: GTspec ladder brace "will not fit if you have installed a CorkSport Exhaust, Apexi downpipe and/or KartBoy exhaust hangers"

whether other midpipes cause problems or not....i'm not sure. they do have an installed picture, though it is quite small. might be able to get some kind of idea if it would fit depending on where the cat is located.

bump for sticky??? (thumb)

Mods: If you don't want this stickied just say so and I'll probably leave it alone, IMO this is a great thread for everyone with exhaust ???'s

I'm just trying to help peep's out and eliminate some threads

word-

(bump) for some good info. Looks like I'll be replacing the midpipe with something with a high-flow cat, and keep the stock muffler for now...I don't want anything loud at this point, but perhaps I'll change it later.

Magnaflow links don't work for me?? Would really like to hear them!!

i think something's up with we-todd.....all of the avi files seem to link to a .jpeg file for some reason. quicktime files work though. if it's still not working by tuesday, lemme know and i'll email we-todd and see what the deal is. thanks for the heads up.

Okay, I've got a question. If I was to buy the mam catless midpipe, will that mean that I am left with one cat on my stock exhaust and and one catless midpipe. In other words, if I get a MAM midpipe, am I eliminating a cat? I don't have the money for a downpipe but I am trying to decide between MAM's four different midpipe choices. I want to eliminate one of the cats but I do not want to deal with bolting anything up to the turbo right now.

you will be eliminating BOTH stock cats with mam's catless midpipe. if you still want to run one (1) cat, then you will need to buy the midpipe with a hi-flow cat. this will replace BOTH stock cats with ONE (1) hi-flow cat.

if you duck under your car, find your cats. then trace the exhaust back towards the engine. see the spring flange at the connection between the first cat and the j-bend section? right at the spring flange is where mam's midpipe will bolt up to.

Yeah, what he said. On the MSP's both cats are located in the midpipe. SO to eliminate one cat you get the hi-flow catted midpipe.

I can't look at what you are talking about right now because I swapped cars with a friend of mine (and I don't want to swap back since his has 320hp and 20-24lbs boost!), but I think you are saying that there is no bolting up to the turbo, right?
