The 6 / MS6 Picture ONLY Thread (NO DISCUSSION!)

Hey now, he isn't the ONLY one with a V6 MTX and black Leather!! :P

Damn...I just accidentally deleted all the pics that I took tonight of my LED tails and was trying to post here... :( Is there any way to un-delete pics from a memory card? Is there some kind of a hidden recycle bin on there?

No you need an undelete program....... WITHOUT having written anything to the card (like taking more pics after deleting them)

You need a program like Ontrack EasyRecovery or GetMyFilesBack....... even then they aren't 100%

for now I deleted the rear mufflers since I heard the stock exhaust isnt the issue, its the exhaust manifolds that have the cats crammed basically right into the exhaust ports so I made a set of straight pipe sections with tips in place of the old mufflers, I also have the CP-E wishbone mount, I HAD a CAI until I hydrolocked my engine. TWM Shortthrow shifter, Rota P1 18" hyperblack rims. Next mods will be tints, Sniper COP upgrade, Mazdaspeed lowering springs, DG CF downforcers from PG and MSDS headers along with eventually getting the CP-E MAFci intake and installing the AEM Bypass filter on it since Im deathly afraid of driving around with these god awful flash flood type of storms the midwest has been having

feel free to browse my photobucket gallery.. random pics everywhere

Nice! I thought about headers but there has been a lot of talk about rattling and a raspy sound after install. Please let us know after you install them and give a review!

Will have to check out the pics when I get home. You have a bunch.lol

I admire that. not many people condition the hell out of their leather. I condition my cloth everytime I wash the car, and I know all about the back pocket stuff. my father stabbed a hole in the leather of his truck cause he forgot to take his hunting knife off when we went into town. LOL

I did that to my old work truck. Had a one inch scraper in my back pocket. It didn't puncture it, it sliced a six inch gash. I got the most ricer seat cover I could find at walmart.lol

anyway, since this is a pic thread, how about a photoshop of my new wheels / suspension? doesn't show my exhaust either ... oh well, I'll get new pics up once I get everything installed

Chrome Kazera KZ-V's. While I'm not a big fan of chrome, I do like the KZ-V.

Post 'em up when they're mounted. ;)

Absolutely - I need to install my shocks & springs too. I agree, I'm not typically a chrome fan either but I think the brightness of the chrome will look great on the glacier silver. I had the same wheels (in silver) on my protege that I sold almost 2 years ago. I bought both sets used for a good deal with tires. I was also looking at the kosei's you have but I think I'll be happy with these. They're rather "big" looking for 17s, and the high offset will allow me to run wider tires later if I want to.

They are KZ-V's actually. ;) The gray ones.

It's funny that you're looking at the same wheels I was looking at, like the Koseis.

Oh oops! They are a very similar design, the kosei's just have a thinner, more tapered spoke

supposedly with the stock midpipe your looking at almost no raspyness vs if you had INJEN SES and MSDS headers, If anything you could put in a resonator to get rid of the rasp.. either way once I run across some extra cash I'll be sure to post.

Update:

Door Trim probably coming off today. What do you use to get it off?

Also, I LOVE my LED tails. They are very bright, and only cost $200 including shipping. Look great at night. The turn signals and backup lights are still normal bulbs, but I have a set of LED bulbs coming for those. Hopefully 15-LED bulbs should be bright enough.

Heat gun, dental floss & hot water usually works best. Shouldn't be too much trouble.

I already got them off. Peeled very easy, after cutting them with floss. They were pretty hot from the sun. No problems with residue or paint not matching, thank god.

Those are 17-inch Exel Radius wheels. Do they make them in 18? I got them from wheelmax.com and they didn't show them in anything larger than what I got. 18's would look better, but the ride is already pretty stiff with 50 profile tires, so 45s would be worse, so I'm kinda glad I got these. $750 shipped with tires and mounting can't be beat. Same thing with lowering; it would look nice, but probably not do any favors for the ride quality. How the heck do some of you guys run 19's with aftermarket springs???

This weekend I will be painting the stock sport grille black, for a nice accent, everything but the top slat. Will update pics. What is the best way to paint one, anyway? There are pretty complex surfaces on there...would it be better to just have a shop do it?

It's a good idea too to use a claybar on your doors to remove any residue, even if you can't see any.

for 17s they actually look decent - and at stock height at that

most aftermarket rims look awkward without a drop

they do have an 18" version FWIW

Ever bend your exels? I had a set of exel v8 18" wheels and every time I even sneezed the damn wheels would bend. Worst wheels ever.

Haven't posted any pics yet...I've been waiting for parts, still waiting actually.
Day I bought it (june 25th 08)
