Texas law enforcement issued 700 HP Hummer!?

I think the best uncommon cop car was the new Charger. I don't remember where I saw it, but I saw pictures, and damn did it ever look mean!

They've got a ton of those chargers out here in Auburn Hills, michigan (the home of dcx HQ). They used to have those big ass intrepids, but now they have the chargers and magnums. I can honestly say the first time I saw a cop charger I smiled. the damn thing looks mean as all hell.

we have a couple of camaros issued to the california highway patrol here in cali (atleast southern).

We have a law in ohio where a cop can only go 15mph over the posted speed limit to chase someone. Any more and they have to call for backup further ahead of the chase.

That and in ohio we have roads.

There is a Corvette nearby here from the Port Moody Police Department, about a 25 minute drive towards Vancouver from my place. It was donated to the local high school by the police, for the students to build up as a dragster.

Here's more pics and info on it.

This has GOT to be a joke.

If that's real, the local citizens should skin the guy who's idea this thing was. That is a gross abuse of power and misuse of resources.

On a side note - warrier04, that .gif in your sig is the funniest damn thing I've seen in a long while!!(hahaspit) (rlaugh)

just get a MAZDASPEED Protege and go 155! muwahaha! I THINK the theoretical top speed at stock HP with the 4.11 gears is 156? add 15-30HP and u should be able to see 155-156 for sure... and yeah, 155 in that thing, i dont see that ever happening and the wheels... i dont know, the wheels are what pretty much discredits the hole story. its ridiculous... a Hummer like that would probably cost $100,000 or close to it or more. I`m sayin` BS too... unnamed, why can`t we know what his name is and what county he works for? if i had somethin` special like that, id let everyone know hoo i was and brag about it.

I'll take on it through the country roads, I doubt it can keep up before it tips over.

Its ok, Italy has a Lambo for a cop car.
well, at least that one could totally beat us any day of the week, this hummer will fill up everyday and tip over if in a high speed pursuit. And if I were pulled over by the lambo, I'd ask the cop for a ride and be happy to spend a night in jail. Hell, I'd speed just so that I could get pulled over by that. (jokingly)

The SRT Jeep does 155 with only 425 hp. I saw 150 before braking for the next turn and it had 800 rpm left and was still accelerating. A co-worker saw 155.

HOT!!!! tires for that thing must cost so much money.

oh, i dont doubt it could go 155, i was sayin i dont think that thing could hit 155 quick enuff (i dont know how str8 the roads r in his county, i was assuming not very) and i dont think it would be extremely safe at 155. is there even Z rated tires for 28 inch rims? i was implying he probably wouldnt have enuff room.

Thier is enough room trust me I used to reach 135mph all the time in my friends highly modified mustang! Man that thign was crazy sick... I used to live in Amarillo, DFW area and use to hit that goign back and forth between Amarillo to Dumas, Channing or even Dalhart in that stang. Even going back home to Irving then over to Arlington(sp?)

I just realized that you stated in his county... which you are more then likley safe to assume unless it was on the highway

The only reason this can only go up to 155mph is cuz of one very important thing: Aerodynamics. Don't forget that a brick with 28" rims can only go so fast. (bling)
