Test pipe question

I just received my PG test pipe and I see that it didn't come with the donut gasket that it says. Can I go to Home Depot or Lowe's or something and get any ol' 3" donut gasket?

Is there something special I should look for (material wise or anything else?)?

(shrug)(shrug)

Thanks in advance!

You think the dealership would have one? It would be a 3" gasket but I thought the stock exhaust was 2.5".

And it took me 2 weeks just to get my test pipe, and I'd rather pay more and get a gasket now...

just use the stock ones. I have the PG test pipe with my stock exhaust all i needed to do was grind the stock ones down a bit until they mated up perfect with the piping.

OoO i just reread the op, they are supposed to come with gaskets? Damn i never got any just the pipe and some bolts and nuts.

lol on the sock... you serious? How'd that hold up?

As for the gasket, just find out if the dealer can get you one. Mean while, just bolt up the test pipe and use some high temp sealer, and you should be good to go. Give that a shot. Besides, I've seen these donut gaskets, and they're pretty tough looking.

Im pretty sure the exhaust gas will just blow out all the sealant since the gap will be so big.Just use the stock donut like the other guy said and grind it down a bit if you have too.You could also try going to a local exhaust shop and see what they have to sell.

Actually I had chenged out my exhaust on my IS300 a few times and it formed a leak. I guy at a local Monroe Muffler put fomr sealat stuff on it and it heald forever. That's worth a shot too.

the first round of test pipes with flat flanges did not get donut gaskets, just the last batch
