Test drove sedan & Hatch!!

MSpeed68

OH NO.
Went to the dealer this morning, and we drove the Hatch, manual, and the Sedan Auto. My wife and I were the first ones to test drive them. The hatch rides pretty smooth, good amount of power! The more I look at the sedan, the more I like it. But it's up to the Wife, it will be her car:p
I will stick to my old Chevys! the autostick is nice, but she wants the manual, I agree. I helped my deal man tear off the film that protects the cars, very sweet! I love that new car smell!
Supposed to get more colors in a week or two, they said they would give me 15,000 for the speed, I don't know about a trade, wanna sell outright.

Take the 15k! That's a really decent trade-in for an 03. Of course they may make you pay full sticker for the 3.

You left out the most important part, though! How is the steering feel? Handling? Body roll/dive/etc? How much feedback is there from the controls? Please please tell us more.

I'm just wondering what the cruising RPM is. In my Protege, I am at about 2900 RPM when going at 100 Km/hr. Thanks

We did not get to drive for very long, the cars were not inspected by the dealer so some of the stuff did not work, like the radio, sucks but oh well. I know it won't sound as good as the speed though!!
We took a few curves, car felt real solid, slight body roll. Accels real smooth, shifting feels better than the speed. I am going back tomorrow to drive again, with everything working!:)
Cruising speed about the same, 2900 rpm

PLease tell us about the seating position? Does it feel high like driving a mini van (like the Ford Focus) or just right for a moderate car?

The seating is a little different, a little bit lower. It has a pump handle on the side to adjust the seat, kinda cool!?
It doesn't sit like a minivan though, I know what that feels like.
I still like the sedan better than the wagon so far.
