I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. I hope you can take traffic school. Have you thought about online traffic school? its easy!
According to the Universal Currency Converter, my last speeding ticket cost me about $250.00 US ($345.00 CDN). That was for going 110km/h in a 60km/h zone (like doing 70mph in a 35mph zone). Of course I WAS in a 90km/h zone a few seconds earlier... oh well, that was a couple of years ago, so I'm over it now.
ok, i wasnt entirely truthful...i got CLOCKED at 88, but when the cop caught up with me it was 140 or 145 (i was too fixed on the road, not the speedometer at that point)...it was like 10pm and i look in my mirror and i was like who the **** is driving as fast...oh, ****. in any case, it cost me 5 pts on my license, but hell in PA i had my license suspended 3 times, and i had a total of 20 some points over several years

id get a lawyer so it dont go on your record and screw with your insurance. just a thought for ya if you havent already thought.. of it..

Here's a good ticket story for ya. A few months ago when I was still driving around in my neon, I got pulled over for no reason that was immediatly apparent. Standard flashing lights, bright ass flood light in my rear view. Then the not so normal part. A cop at my window with a gun drawn. Anyway, he got me out, handcuffed me, sat me on the ground and searched my car for a good five minutes. When he was going to search my trunk, he opened it and stuck his head in then came back out fast as hell and stared at my license plate for a minute. Apparently, someone else had a 96 black neon sport stolen about ten miles away about 30 minutes before this incident. The thing was, it was a different neon sport.
So yeah. The cop screwed the pooch mucho big time. He appoligized A LOT and let me go and gave me this little badge to put on the front window of my car. I didnt know what it was for till a month later when I was clocked doin 95 racing a civic in a 40. I got pulled over and the civic got away, but as the guy walked toward me and my heart sat motionless in my chest, I remembered the little badge. So I pulled it out of the center console and slapped it on the window quick as hell and the cop just walked up, looked at the name and number on it, started cracking up and walked away. I've gotten pulled over by that guy once more and the guy that actually searched my car twice for speeding way above the limit and I have yet to get a ticket.

I dont know about donations, but my friends older sister got one from a Vestavia Hills cops (evil mother fuckers, the worst ones in the area by far) by giving the guy a special show
