Tekkies emanage dyno

Dam good numbers I need to get timming down on my car i think its robbing alot of hp .

Don't be fooled, timing isn't everything. I had to add 5-6 degree's of timing, on 101 octane, to get 4 hp so it's not worth it. You'll never get 10-20 hp out of a few degree's.

...That's a crazy number for 10psi. Didn't 505zoom do less then that with the MAM mani?...

I did 258.2 with the iON FMIC, and then 263.4 with the Mental Addiction FMIC. That was at 12psi though, and on a bigger turbo... so great tuning indeed Jamie.:)

sweet ass.. Looks good man.. Just curious but did your stock injectors max out at 8psi?

no I just wanted to be on the safe side with the 440's

I ran 11psi on the stock ones before without emanage but they were getting close to max quite alot

well this is good news for me, cause i will be using the e-manage in my setup so now i have a good feeling going into this!

if one were to just want to control timing with the emanage, would one need the optional pressure sensor harness and sensor to do so? or just the emanage main unit and fm 02 modifier to save the changes?

looking around, it seems as if without the pressure sensor you can still tune for timing via maf voltage vs. rpm.

what i think i will do is run just the emanage unit with the 02 modifier and the 300zx maf. i believe that will be best. Fueling will come via a sds eic controller.

Yeah you can do it with the z32 maf like you said but of course the pressure sensor is more accurate so I would stick with that. Plus you are really not going to save anything because you need to get that maf and have a custom pipe for it. Orangezom has the Z32 maf but he was still using the pressure sensor.

One thing that I should stress and I have told this to numerous people already. My car is a huge pita to start, and sorry to dissapoint you nick it does not look like anything to do with the injectors. The problems seems to center around the ignition control somehow, if I just use the emangage for fuel - air it works perfect but as soon as I hook the ignition up to it then wants to screw with me.

it was a dynapack, totally different system from the dynojet

tekkie with your ignition problem, do you think i will have the same problem on my mp3? or do you think it is something with the msp ecu? and i have the p5 ecu in mine.

Thanks

wish I could give you an answer, I am not sure, the guy that was tuning my car was baffled and he has done lots of emanage systems, he said he has never seen this happen before :(

well i know this sounds wrong but i'm glad it seems like a fluke.. good luck but when i get mine installed i will let you know if i get the same thing.

I hope it is :) I dont really care cause this is just a temporary stop for me, I will be upgrading to a better EMS anyway, most likely the AEM

Werd, how is traction, tekkie?

damn boy!!! Thats on the stock turbo!? If so, you just made my day! That the exact amount I wanted to be running but I thought I would have to pump it up to 12psi... if I can hit those numbers at 10 then, holy crap i'll be happy.

How does she feel? Driving characteristics with torque steer, and traction?

traction? what traction lol

the tires spin quite a bit, now that I just put 18's on its working a little better not quite as much spin :)
