Tein S-Tech front and rear difference

Hi i was just wondering if anyone could tell me why the Tein S-Tech Springs dont have equal lowering lengths the difference by .3" between 1.5" front and 1.8" rear... even though i did a search for those that have these springs on ...but what purpose does it serve? i mean i could understand if it was 1.8 front and 1.5 rear because this car is FWD but its the other way around .... thanks !

The wheel gap is funky on the cars if you drop them equal front and back. The front has more than the back. The uneven drop makes it have a slightly better rake.

oh cool ... thanks for the input so i guess Tein purposely made it so that the P5 would be as flat as possible, i just thought it would look kinda silly having the back drop .3 inches more than the front... it'll look like a pimp wagon... but so far everyone that has had a set on ... it looks fine

the s-techs worked out fine for me (check the sig). i like the stance of the car now. not a huge fan of super low street driven cars around where i live... too many potholes and such. be sure you check out spring rates too. they don't make a difference in the drop, but they do in the ride quality.

The gap in between the wheels from front and back are about the same height so it gives an even drop there. IMO, not bad springs and the drop was nice.

well i asked about this because i thought i was going for the Tein H-techs but the S-Techs were only $20 more so i figured i'd see if i could live with the drop around my place( lots of speed bumps, like every street) ... but then again i dont want a wimpy drop either ... i want it to be subtle

as far as the ride goes.. i dont really mind how harsh it is... i was planning to install the Racing Beat Rear sway bar with the AWR bushings.

If you're not commited to buying yet, I should have a setup with h-techs installed within the month (dependent on shipping times) and you can see how you like it then.

I have the s-techs installed with tokico illuminas. It rides pretty nice. The good thing about it is i can adjust the shocks to give a softer ride for driving everday, and a stiffer setting when i feel like playing around.

not to threadjack or anything, but isn't it a b**** to adjust the rear shocks? i know i hate having to take the seatbelt bracket off every time i wanna adjust the rear. good shocks tho... hehe

i fixed that problem, its called gutted out rear..lol.. people in the back makes my car slower anyways.

hmmmm i noticed a lot of ppl change Shocks too when they change springs... would S-Tech Springs stress out the stock shocks ? or?.....do people just like to modify things?
