tec 2 standalone in a msp

yea tomorrow its going on the dyno and getting tunned so ill film and take pics on the engine bay

Make sure they do a road tune first, the dyno is an unforgiving b**** and its like having the AC on with a car full of people and gunning it at 2k rpm. if something is going to fail its gonna happen there. The road tune will let you get all different load conditions so you can work the bugs out, then you dyno it to fine tune it.

just some advice incase they decide to skip that part.

i got the car back and at 7psi it is running 180whp and 198 tor. and runs alot smoother. i need a boost contoller, and turbo timer then i can run 10 psi and hope for more power

the first one is of the spec 2 computer, and the second on is the engine set up and layout with the new computer

write up on what ? theres a link on the first or second page talking about the standalone

oh yea the guy said give him like 4 days to write it up and ill make a thread about it

Nice! What programmer or engine management would you recomend for my msp? I have no idea what is out there. I would like something that I could still keep it reliable and trouble free. I know its not a race car I just want it to be a little quicker haha

Also I just noticed the BOV on my car is a no name ebay one... Is this something I should change before upgrading other things and what should I change it with? I saw Greddy Type S, RS and Type RZ...

im not a big fan of ebay parts. i would replace the bov with a known company. i have ran a few greddy BOV and i wont ever be buying another. im not impressed with their build quality nor their longevity. i switched over to the HKS SSQV 3 (they are on version 3 now i believe). It's a solid unit and has fared well so far.

I do miss the sound of the greddy type s though :(

no i dont have emission testings lol , and edricci we got to meet up sometime soon maybe go to import face off together with some other msps

you are lucky! any standalone will work on the car, it just has to be set up properly.

what made the shop choose this one? are they more experienced with it?

four days is almost up, one day left... any update on the guys progress with that writeup. Hopefully this guy pulls through and provides this writeup. You have no idea how many people are waiting on this now.

yea and he picked this one because it was cheaper because i didnt have the money for a new one lol.
