TBE DO i need BC?

I'm getting a Dp later this week. By installing the dp, How much boost i willgain. I only have a ms cai. 16 psi now.
Also how can i hold more boost towards redline. Mine drops to 10-11 by 6k.
Bov? Or boost conroller.

PS. What is a high safe boost level i can run on stock ecu. Thanks

will you just have a DP or full TBE? many people run into fuel cut issues so you should worry about that before your boost levels. You will probably gain a few psi, typically you will spike due to less backpressure after the turbo then settle back down around 17 or so on the stock ecu settings. BOV will certainly help retain more boost over stock, and a BC can be beneficial but in many cases its better to leave stock boost levels and get gains by retaining previously lost boost from the stock system.

(iagree) You will start spiking with the DP; max about 20.5 or so psi. Doesn't really increase boost levels; with my mods I only get mid 16s, occasionally as high as 17.

I agree, just work on unrestricting the flow paths of your engine; intake, TMIC, DP, CBE, etc...

Well i'm running the dp threw my stock gutted 2nd cat and no resonators. I think it should be same as a TBE. But yeh no bc for me.

Do you now if the corksport will bolt up to the 2nd stock cat?

no thats not the same as a full TBE. you have 2.5" exhaust from a 3" downpipe which creates pressure differences, going through a cat thats been gutted so the flow is different than a test pipe thats perfectly smooth all the way through. A TBE system would be 3" piping from the turbo all the way back with maybe a muffler at the rear. theres a big difference from what you currently have ask any TBE owners. I dont know if the corksport bolts up to the stock 2nd cat i dont own it....
